Manipal University Scholarship for UG Students

TMA Pai Engineering Scholarships

• Under TMA Pai Engineering Scholarships scheme, two scholarships in each engineering stream is granted to the top 5000 rank in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET).
• This scholarship scheme is granted on the basis of merit only. 
• The first top ranker is entitled to receive a 100% tuition fee waiver on the annual tuition fee whereas the second topper is entitled to receive a 50% tuition fee waiver on the annual tuition fee.
• For the continuation of this scholarship, candidate must maintain a CGPA of 8.0 or above in every academic year.

Sir M Visvesvaraya Scholarships

• This scholarship is awarded to 14 core branches of engineering except the branches falling under the School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Information Technology and School of Computer and Communication Engineering. 
• 10 Scholarships per branch with a 30% fee waiver over annual tuition fees are given to candidates scoring aggregate marks in the range of 80% - 89.99 % in 12^th standard.
• 5 Scholarships per branch with a 50% fee waiver over annual tuition fees are given to candidates scoring aggregate marks of 90 % and above in 12^th standard. 
• The scholarship is granted on a First-Come First-Serve Basis.
• For the continuation of this scholarship, the candidate must maintain a CGPA of 8.0 or above in every academic year.

Scholarship for B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

• Scholarships will be offered on a First-Come-First-Serve Basis to the students taking admission under the Lateral Entry (B Tech).
• One scholarship in each engineering stream, amounting to 25% of the annual tuition fee, is granted on the basis of merit and is provided the student holding aggregate marks of 90% or above / CGPA 9.0 or above in the qualifying examination.
• The student should maintain a CGPA of 8.5 or above every academic year for the continuation of this scholarship.

TMA Pai Merit Scholarships

• TMA Pai Merit Scholarships will be offered to all UG programs with 3 scholarships to be awarded to the students on a merit basis having more than 80% aggregate marks in 12^th standard. 
• For the continuation of this scholarship, the candidate must maintain a CGPA of 8.5 or above in every academic year.

Scholarships for Local Region Students

Manipal University offers special scholarship benefits for students from nearby villages. 

• A total of 2 scholarships per program will be granted on the basis of the highest aggregate percentage marks in 10+2 examinations 
• Candidates belonging to Dehmi Kalan, Thikaria, Sanjharia, Begas and Dehmi Khurd are eligible for this scholarship scheme. 
• All the Hons programs and pass programs of the same domain would be considered as a single entity for the purpose of scholarship and preference in admissions. B Com (Hons) and B Com would be considered as a single entity. 
• A scholarship amounting to 50% of the annual tuition fee is given under this scheme. 
• Submission of domicile (issued by the competent government authority) and other documents along with the application to prove domicile to these five villages is mandatory. 
• For the continuation of this scholarship, the candidate must maintain a CGPA of 8.0 or above in every academic year.

Financial Assistance for Sibling(s)

• Manipal University offers a 20% fee waiver on annual tuition fees for one sibling enrolled in Manipal University for the first year as financial assistance.
• Submission of documentary proof such as ID card/Admission Letter and Aadhaar IDs of both the candidates having mother’s and father’s name is to be submitted.
• For the continuation of this scholarship, the candidate must maintain a CGPA of 8.0 or above in every academic year.

Scholarship for BBA (Hospitality & Tourism) students

• Manipal University offers a 25% fee waiver over the annual tuition fees for students having marks higher than 75% in aggregate in 12^th Standard.
• This scholarship is awarded to 30% of students enrolled in the BBA (Hospitality and Tourism) program. 
• The scholarship is granted on a First-Come First-Serve Basis.
• For the continuation of this scholarship, the candidate must maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in every academic year.

Rajasthan Merit Scholarships

• The scholarship is given to one student each in the stream of engineering and non-engineering program. 
• The scholarship is applicable to students from Rajasthan domicile, having the highest 80% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent qualifying exam.
• The maximum amount of scholarship will not exceed the annual tuition fee of the program joined, or INR 1 Lakh, whichever is lower.
• The student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above every academic year for the continuation of this scholarship.

Merit Scholarships for PG students

• For M Tech students: Under the Endowment Fund Scheme Scholarships of INR 15,000 per month is provided to GATE-qualified students.
• For  MA -J&MC (II), M Com - Financial Analysis (III) M Sc – taking all the specialization as a single entity (IV) M Arch – Landscape (V) MCA (VI) LLM – taking all the specializations as a single entity.
• Three Scholarships in each Program will be given to the students with the highest aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.

Scholarship for “Differently-Abled” students

• Manipal Univerity offers 20% and 50% fee waivers on annual tuition fees for students having 40-75% disability and more than 75% disability respectively. 
• Submission of a certificate of handicap issued by the competent state/national government hospital/board (as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India) is mandatory. 
• For the continuation of this scholarship, the candidate must maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in every academic year.

• Submission of a the certificate of single mother issued by the competent state/national government authority is mandatory and the divorced cases will only be entertained upon the proper submission of divorce certificate/document issued by the competent state / national government authority.
• For the continuation of this scholarship, the candidate must maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in every academic year.

Scholarships for Orphan Students

• The university offers 20% fee-waiver over the annual tuition fees to the orphan students.
• Submission of the certificate issued by the state/national authority as per the guidelines of Women Development & Child Welfare department confirming the orphan status and affidavit by the applicant duly notarized given on a bond paper stating that the person is an orphan/destitute is mandatory.

Scholarships for Students of Higher Semesters

• Manipal Univerity grants scholarship amounting to 20% fee-waiver on annual tuition fee on the basis of merit list.
• This scholarship is given to the topper of each stream of engineering and non-engineering program in higher semesters

Female Merit Scholarship

• Manipal Univerity grants scholarship amounting to 50% fee-waiver on annual tuition fee on the basis of merit list to one female candidate securing more than 80% aggregate marks in 12^th Standard or UG Program.

Financial Support for attending Seminars/Conferences

Scholarships for Sports Persons

Manipal University Jaipur offers Scholarships for Sports persons. The preference would be given up to 1% of total seats in Engineering and 2% in Non – Engineering programs on a First-Come-First-Serve Basis, subject to the availability of vacant seats.

Eligibility

• The candidate should either be a State Champion or should have participated in recognized National level/Inter- University level (AIU)/ International Level Sports Competitions.
• The candidate should have cleared the qualifying exam for admission to the program applied for, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. A relaxation of 5% marks can be given by the Competent Authority. Certificates produced for participation in games would be considered for the last three sessions only i.e. 10th, 11th and 12th level for UG students and final year, (final-1) year and (final- 2) year for PG students. In general, the last three sessions’ (taking a year of admission as current sessions) certificates would be considered in case there is a gap in studies/participation in games.
