Should I prefer IIIT Pune over IIIT Vadodara?

IIIT Pune would be a better option than IIIT Vadodara as it gives better exposure and has a decent placement record. 

One of my relatives studies there, and it gives the idea about the college very well. However, the college is newly settled and not as old as other IIIT. It is growing and improving and in upcoming years it may become the top college in Maharashtra.

As IIIT Pune has a good placement cell, various top companies come for campus placement. Like Gojek, Amazon, L&T InfoTech, MAQ Software, TCS, Valuefy, Virtusa, Internshala, Oracle, Cisco, ElasticRun, and many more. 

Therefore, you must join IIIT Pune as along with good placement it provides a wide exposure. As Pune city is an IT hub you will get to explore various opportunities here than Vadodara.
