You are considering pursuing either mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. We highly recommend you consider GNE Ludhiana. The Amritsar Campus of GNDU only offers three B.Tech streams: Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, and Urban Planning. However, the mechanical and civil engineering streams are available at the regional campus of Sathiala and were established in the 2014 batch.
The faculty for Computer Science and Electronics at GNDU is exceptional. However, it is important for you to research placement statistics and other relevant information before making a final decision.
If your rank is 77k, there may be a slight chance for you to get into mechanical engineering at GNE. However, there is an option for you to change streams after one year if there are any vacant seats in your preferred department.
Among Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) or the Gulzar Group of Institutes, it is suggested you go for GNDEC.
Therefore if you want to build your career ahead by dedicating your time to studies then GNDEC will be a better option. But if you want a college life full of fests, events, and activities Gulzar Group of Institutes will be good.
One of my friends studied at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College of Ludhiana. According to him, they are not up to the mark.
Although, education depends on the capability of the student. So if you are confident about yourself and can manage your education on your own no matter how the college is, then Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College of Ludhiana is the appropriate place for you.
Among these, GNE Ludhiana is better. It is an old college with good industry reach. The core branches of the university are pretty good. GNE curriculum is updated according to the current industry trends. It has a good placement record, especially for branches such as CSE and IT. GNE Ludhiana placement highlights of recent years show the highest CTC to be INR 10 LPA.
