Can I get an admission in Lovely Professional University without the LPU NEST?

A
Admin Posted On : May 4th, 2024

There are two ways to look at this. LPU NEST is a compulsory entrance exam to seek admission to any of the engineering, MBA or any other courses at LPU. You can skip to appear for LPU NEST if you have qualified any national level entrance exam for the course you are applying to. If you have a JEE Main score for BTech or CAT/CMAT etc for MBA you can get direct admission at LPU.

However, in my opinion there are some advantages of appearing for the LPU NEST. If you qualify for it, you will eligible for a scholarship. The admission process is also very simple as everything is uploaded to the portal when you apply for LPU NEST and you just have to get it verified once selected.

LPUNEST is mandatory for some of the courses and is the minimum eligibility criteria as well, that you must fulfil. But for some courses it is only a scholarship test. So it is beneficial to appear for it as it will improve your scholarship as well.

I have secured 5047 rank in LPUNEST. Can I get admission to the BTech CSE course?

A
Admin Posted On : May 14th, 2024

Yes, you can get admission to LPU for the Btech CSE course with a 5047 rank. However, you will also need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria of 60% in the 12th board examination with subjects such as Physics, Maths and English. Your rank in LPU will determine which category you fall under and then your percentage of scholarship on the total programme fee will be calculated.

I would also like to point out some of the pros of studying BTech CSE at LPU. First and foremost, I would like to highlight the excellent placement record of this department. More than 95% of the students who sit for placement get placed at top companies such as Amazon, Cognizant, Microsoft, Intel, HP, etc. Also, you will be able to choose various specialization options that are offered by LPU under Btech CSE. You will develop diverse skills and learn about the latest technological advancements.
