Which is better- MMMUT or IET Lucknow?
The main advantage of IET is its location (400-500 km from Delhi/Noida and a more functional airport) and coaching exposure for GATE, CAT, and other competitive exams. Teaching is essentially the same. MMMUT's facilities are far superior to those of IET. However, if you want to study CS/EC, choose IET (This is not to dismiss MMM's CS or EC; somewhat, MMM lacks exposure, which is essential for someone studying EC/CS).
The MMM is slightly less expensive than the IET Lucknow. They have an excellent library that may supply you with a free supply of relevant books. IET's library is worse than that of private colleges in UP. MMM has a much larger and more organized alumni base than the IET.
The MMM campus is large and lush with greenery. You'd have plenty of opportunities to "discuss" something with your classmates. Furthermore, the faculty at MMM is relatively progressive. Of course, this does not mean they will approve of anything, but they will generally tolerate certain things within limits. The faculty at IET is mostly upper caste and thus extremely regressive. They believe that it is the student's fault that they have not succeeded in their own lives.

Having friends studying at both the institutes, I would say that both institutes have their fair share of pros and cons. IET Lucknow provides better opportunities than MMMUT Gorakhpur.
In terms of exposure, IET Lucknow may be a good option for you as it is located in Lucknow, the capital city. In the departments of civil and electrical engineering, MMMUT has better facilities and faculty.
- MMMUT in recent years has gone through a lot of changes that have brought about a positive change.
- The institute has made connections with universities in Japan, Thailand, America and a lot of students go to these countries for internships.
- A degree from MMMUT will go a long way in helping you whether you are in a PSU or an MNC.
- The alumni of MMMUT ensure that your promotions are not dropped, your project manager holds you in high regard.
- In IET Lucknow, however, there is no alumni culture, unfortunately, and the attempts have so far been unsuccessful.
- MMMUT also boasts of having an excellent library and also the cost of education is lower than that of IET Lucknow.
- The library is not that good in IET Lucknow. In UP, the books related to the course are provided on a caste quota basis.
- In the GATE or IES exams, you will qualify with ease if you are a student of IET Lucknow.

The faculty at IET, however, can be a bit condescending but the same cannot be said about the faculty in MMMUT. The faculty there is progressive. Hence it is suggested you go for MMMUT if you prefer academics or you could also go for IET Lucknow if you want a happening college experience.
