The rooms are very spacious, with enough room for 8-10 people to hang out comfortably. You will find everything in the room to be cool and comfortable. Moreover, the weather in Goa is quite pleasant, so you won't have any trouble staying indoors in your room all day. From 2018 onwards, most students are allotted double-sharing rooms for the first year of their stay.
The hostels are relatively new as they were completed only in 2018-2019, which means they are immaculate, tidy, and well-maintained. The bathrooms are of western style, with 10 toilets per floor, almost like the ones you would find in a decent mall. You will have access to hot water throughout the day, and even at night if you plan on playing football at 12:30 AM.
If you are staying in D-hostels 1-4, you will be allotted a double sharing room that comes equipped with a cot, a big almirah with a fitted mirror, table, chair (not wooden), whiteboard, and a few storage racks. The rooms are spacious enough for 10-12 people to hang out comfortably. The electricity and internet facilities are excellent, although there have been a few power cuts lately, which may be a legitimate problem or just cost-cutting measures.
The common room in the hostel is huge when compared to the older senior hostels. It comes with a table tennis table, carrom board, chess board, and of course, a TV with cable.
The hostels at BITS Goa are equipped with single beds, a table, and chair, LAN connection as well as wifi. You will have a 2 GB limit per day. There is also a common room equipped with a table tennis table and a television. There are other games like chess and carrom too. The room is big enough to fit around 100 people.
There are badminton courts in all hostels. You will also find food courts and two messes for food. A laundromat is also close by if you want to get your laundry done. Other than this, you can shop online on Amazon and Flipkart and get other basic necessities from a superstore nearby.
The bathrooms are also neat and clean. If you face any issues, the hostel staff is prompt in responding to them. There are about 60 rooms on each floor of a 3 story building. All rooms are mostly for single occupancy. There are about 24 toilets and 16 showers per floor.
As far as the room is concerned, it gets hot in summer. You can go to the library or labs for AC. But let me tell you that you will have to clean your own room. The hostel assistants and wardens are very strict.
Other than this, you can explore Goa in your free time rather than binge-watch TV shows. The hostel is definitely clean and you will have an enjoyable life here.
