Is hostel life in NIT Trichy good? Are there bad people in terms of character?

Hostel life in NIT Trichy is amazing. If you are a first-time hostelite like me, full of amazing hostel memories. I will break my answer into various hostels and the kind of life they offer.

• Agate: Agate is the biggest hostel for first-year students and has spacious rooms. It is in close proximity to the mess and the lecture hall. Diamond: This is the most popular hostel for first-year students and has the best amenities. The hostel rooms are spacious and the hostel is near both the mess and the lecture hall. The hostel is well-ventilated and mostly the residents are DASA students.
• Coral: This hostel has smaller rooms and the first floor has many insects. But it’s near the non-vegetarian mess, the LHC, and the campus Big Bazaar.
• Jade: This one is not far away from both the mess and the LHC. It's a recently made hostel, especially for first-year students. It’s in close proximity to the shopping complex with a huge ground in its back.
• Opal (Girls Hostel): This is one of the finely designed and equipped hostels This is a huge protected fortress. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable and you will find all kinds of facilities like messes, a bakery, a beauty salon, a photocopy shop, sports fields, an air-conditioned computer lab, and a laundry shop.

Every NIT Trichy hostel has its own common indoor sports and a table tennis room. The hostellers are not bad people but very friendly and will make your college life exciting and memorable.
