LD College of Engineering is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and is also overlooked by the Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Gujarat. Civil engineering is a discipline of technical engineering concerned with the layout, implementation, and restoration of the natural and dynamically created climate. Through valid scientific research, mathematical and statistical methodologies, it offers the necessary skills and knowledge to design, evaluate, develop, predict, and implement the project.
Admission:
The department offers a BE program, Postgraduate courses in Water Resources & Management and Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and a part-time course (Civil Engineering).
The department accepts GUJCET for the BE and GATE score for MTech.
BE students require 10+2 with a minimum of 45% in aggregate. For ME students need graduation.

Some of the laboratories of the department are Water Resources Lab, Concrete Laboratory, Structure & Heavy Structures Laboratory, Soil Laboratory Material Testing Laboratory, and Computer Laboratory (AMD)
Placements:
Mahindra, Tata Power, Reliance, The Linde Group, Essar, and GACL are some of the top recruiters of students in the civil engineering department.
In the year 2019, 21 students received job offers from numerous companies.
The average placement rate of the department is 85%.
Over 2244 students have been successfully employed in the last four years from which 95 were from the civil department. In 2019, 565 students received placement offers from the 111 recruiters on campus.
Civil engineers have always been actively involved in transportation infrastructure, industrial plants, dams, airfields, marine ecosystems, environmental services, and manufacturing facilities. It is essential that the student makes their academic choices keeping in mind the college, faculty, department, placement prospects, and campus facilities.
