How good is IIT Bhubaneswar in terms of faculty, infrastructure, academics, hostel facilities, and placements?

IIT Bhubaneswar ranked 17th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. 

• Faculty of IIT Bhubaneswar - IIT Bhubaneswar has a highly qualified faculty with each member holding a Ph.D. in their field. There are a total of 145 faculty members. It includes the Dean, Professors, Assistant Professors, and Associate Professors with also Visiting Professors.

• Infrastructure of IIT Bhubaneswar - The Infrastructure of IIT Bhubaneswar is comparatively new which makes it better with any of the old IITs. It has new construction buildings for 2 hostels, Healthcare centers, Gym, multipurpose shopping centers. It also has its own swimming pool.

• Academics of IIT Bhubaneswar - IIT Bhubaneswar is good in academics and offers BTech, MTech, MSc., and Ph.D. A rank between 1200-13000 is accepted for the admission of Engineering students.

• Hostel Facilities - There are two hostels each for male and female students. It has a capacity of 800 and 200 students respectively. There is a mess facility, kitchen, gym, sports grounds and courts, media entertainment rooms, solar light systems, 24x7 security, ATM facility, and wifi connection. 

• Placements - IIT Bhubaneswar has a dedicated placement cell. It has an undergraduate placement record of 90%. And 68% in MTech courses. The average salary package offered to students is 11 lakhs per annum. Companies like Amazon, HCL, IBM, Infosys, Samsung Electronics India, DRDO, Accenture, WIPRO, OYO, Adobe, etc. were among the top recruiting companies.
