Which college should be preferred? SIBM Pune or IIM Shillong?

Well, one of my friends was a student of SIBM Pune, in a regular batch of 2018-2012. As per his suggestion, always consider SIBM Pune over IIM Shillong due to the following reasons.

Placements

Infrastructure

• SIBM Pune is located in the hilltop picturesque region of Lavale.
• It has all the facilities, including fully-equipped fitness facilities and sports facilities like Cricket, Basketball, Football, and other sport advancements like court games and table tennis.
• Students here also get 24 hours library facilities along with the greatest number of the preeminent range of Bloomberg terminals within the country.

Corporate Competitions

• SIBM Pune is the most preferred B-schools because of its association with the open market competition, results in PPIs and PPOs.
• This institute has won Godrej LOUD, Reckitt Benckiser Global Challenge, Asian Paints CANVAS, Novartis Bio-camp Case Study Competition, Abbott Business Challenge 2.0 and ABG HeadstaRt in the year 2018

Diversity

• Various student backgrounds of SIBM Pune influence both the ethnic and cultural diversity of this institute.
• Classes here have students from 20 states of India, but there are international students, approximately from 15 countries.

However, my friend does not focus on the college rankings as these are mostly available on public websites. It can be stated that SIBM Pune ranks among the top 5 private B-schools, and it is the most desirable B-school in India. Besides, this institute won a maximum number of corporate competitions in 2018 and successfully achieved the 3rd rank in the Dare2Compete rankings.
