There is rarely any private civil engineering company that conducts campus placements. It is difficult for civil engineering graduates to find any such job roles for the last 5-6 years.
The department is not very much active and there is no demand for civil engineers degree holders in the industry. Most of the engineering students in popular engineering colleges either practice computer programming or become managers in the industry.
It is suggested not to opt for civil engineering if you are an engineering aspirant. It has almost no jobs in the country when compared to other engineering branches.
The major reason for this is the largest number of placement & internship offers to belong to the software & IT sectors due to current demands in the market.
A huge number of students are employed by the prominent sectors that is the reason a lot of candidates try to shift their domain-specific aims.
