Between IIIT Allahabad and IIIT Delhi, which one should I choose for CS?

Between IIIT Allahabad and IIIT Delhi, the former is the better option for CS. It offers better facilities are infrastructure, as the institute is fully funded by MHRD. On the other hand, IIIT Delhi isn’t funded by MHRD. It is also an Indraprastha institute and not an Indian institute.

IIIT A has a large alumni base working in top-level product development companies, this helps a lot with placements. As per the placement highlights for 2021, IIIT Allahabad CSE average package is INR 21.85 LPA.

The CSE department of the institute has an amazing faculty pool. Most of the faculty members have a minimum of 15-20 years of research experience in the core field of Computer Scienece and Engineering.

The public view might seem a bit biased towards IIIT Delhi but IIIT Allahabad is a pure gem when it comes to CSE(IT). Let us consider a few parameters to help you understand the difference between these two institutes in a better way:

Affiliation and funding: IIIT Delhi is affiliated with Indraprastha University while IIIT Allahabad is funded and completely taken care of by MHRD. The quality of education is higher at IIIT-A when compared to IIITD.
Research: IIIT-A is far ahead of IIITD when it comes to research. It is ranked only after IITs in Computer Science and Information Systems in QS ranking 2021. The coding culture at IIIT-A is very strong compared to IIITD.
Faculty: IIIT Allahabad has a few foreign faculties residing in a center called HCRI funded by the government.
Coding Culture: IIIT A has a much better coding culture than IIITD. You will always be occupied with Lab Tests, Quizzes, Projects, Exams, Seminars, and many more.
