Both IIIT Delhi and NSIT are well-established institutes both offering good quality education in a diverse way. IIIT Delhi is a research and CS-oriented institute while NSIT offers an overall college experience in a variety of branches. NSIT might be a good option for you it has a number of advantages like

  • It's located in the capital city of India so the placement opportunities and exposure offered are top-notch.
  • The academic workload is minimal which leaves students with enough time to pursue other passions.
  • Talented peers enhance the overall learning experience.
  • NSIT has a very good coding culture and the majority of the students are involved in coding.
  • NSIT has an excellent placement scenario and the median package this year stood at INR 16 LPA.
  • The cutoffs are higher thereby maintaining the standard of education.

So unless you want to enter the Management and IAS field, consider joining NSIT.

NSIT has better placement statistics and the maximum package offered to an on-campus placed student than IIIT-A, but you (as an IT student at NSIT) will be sitting with CE students for placements, which is the more well-known branch of the two.

  • However, when comparing the IT departments of the two colleges, IIIT-A was created as a centre of excellence in the field of IT and is well-known for its curriculum.
  • The disciplines taught here are also part of the curriculum of several prestigious universities around the country.
  • In terms of your interests, if you're interested in coding, IIIT-A is the place to go.
