IIIT Bhubaneswar was established by the Government of Orissa in 2006 and was converted into a unitary university in January of 2014. The institute has autonomy in terms of academics, financial, and administrative decisions by the power invested through the IIIT Bhubaneswar act. Admission to this college is made on the basis of JEE(Mains) ranks in the undergraduate category, the M.Tech selection is based on the GATE score.
The campus is far away from the city and offers a peaceful academic environment. Academics here are good, especially for IT-based branches like computer science and engineering, electronics engineering, etc. There is a strict attendance policy. The faculty members are well-experienced and from the subject background. The placement record is quite decent here, the IT branches hold the highest placement rate.
Hostels are well-maintained and equipped with basic amenities, most of the rooms are 3 or 4 sharing. Wifi connection is available with decent internet speed. The campus has playgrounds for Football, Basketball, Volleyball, and Tennis Courts.
ADVAITA is the college annual techno-cult fest which gives everyone the opportunities to showcase their talents in their field of interest like coding, robotics, games, music, etc.
