Should I take production engineering at MNNIT Allahabad and try for a branch change or should I take CS in NIT Raipur?

There will be a handful of seats available for branch change and branch modifications do not only occur when you fill in a form. You will have other brilliant and ambitious students to compete with. 

Choosing the right branch:

If you are facing trouble choosing the right branch, you should remember the following things.

• Don’t opt for a branch just because of the higher CTC, or college brand name, etc. Because the degree you will get is for life. So, make sure you are interested to work in the field that you are choosing. 
• Also, go through the syllabus given on the official website and see if you can do the coursework for the branch of your choosing.

My brother was a student of MNNIT Allahabad and for his 1st year, the highest CGPA was 9.67, while many scored 9. So, the chances of branch upgradation are quite slim.
