It’s hard to draw a differentiating line between the two campuses.
Peer Group:
The admission committee selects the incoming class and distributes it across the two campuses. So, you will get a similar peer group at both campuses.
Placements:
ISB Hyderabad and ISB Mohali conduct placements as a single school. Fore placements, students of one campus fly down to another. Students also don’t mention their campus on their CV. ISB Mohali placements 2022 had an average CTC of INR 34.07 LPA.
Education:
The quality of education and pedagogy are the same for both campuses. The faculties shuffle between the campuses and there are guest faculties from reputed B-Schools like MIT, Kellogg, LBS, etc.
At ISB Mohali, you will get almost the same academic experience as ISB Hyderabad.
ISB Mohali and ISB Hyderabad offer almost the same facilities, faculties, and placement opportunities to the students. ISB Mohali used to have a smaller batch intake but the number of seats at the Mohali campus has increased and it’s now around 800 same as the Hyderabad campus. The student quality is similar in both the campuses, as students are distributed to the campuses based on their location preference and based on an algorithm through the same selection procedure.
The ISB Mohali campus is a relatively newer campus (Started in 2012), in terms of infrastructure it may lag behind a bit compared to Hyderabad. The education offered is the same so is the faculties for both the campuses.
Coming to placements, the placements happen in one campus, either Mohali or Hyderabad. If the interviews happen in Hyderabad, the student is flown in from Mohali and vice versa. The students are not supposed to mention the location of the campus to the recruiter and it’s highly confidential. In 2019 placement the average placement package offered to the students of both the campuses was around 24.35 LPA.
