You should definitely go with BITS Goa. The physics faculty at the institute is really good and no one can reiterate this enough. If you happen to take courses like Mechanics and OScil, you will realize this in the first year itself.
Moreover, the college festival, Waves, is a major highlight. Many discussions regarding the best departments in the college have always had synchronous replies with physics being the major answer. The faculty members are well versed in the field and are dedicated individuals.
But if you are still confused, you must know that the curriculum and syllabus are the same on all three campuses. Your degree will finally specify that you graduated from BITS Pilani.
This program is different from the usual M.Sc. Program due to the fact that it provides a deeper knowledge not only in Physics but Photonics as well. After this PG degree, students can have an equally poised career in Physics as well as Photonics. While the knowledge in Physics will give the degree holder an opportunity to work in academics and research related to Physics; the knowledge in Photonics will help him to have a career in academics, research, and industry related to Photonics. Numbers of Photonics industries such as Lasers, Fiber Optics, Solar Photovoltaics, Lighting, Displays, etc require personnel trained in Photonics. The program is a perfect blend of Physics and Photonics and it certainly has a very good job potential.
