AIT at a glance.

Remarks :

First, you need to appear for JEE mains and fill out a form for AIT Pune separately. This form is available 2-3 months prior to JEE Mains. No reservations are available for admission to AIT. However, Jammu residents are considered for reservation benefits. Overall the admission process is smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Talking about the course curriculum is as per the syllabus of SPPU, the university we are affiliated with. Facilities are sufficient taking into account the number of students. All the facilities are highly qualified. The non-teaching staff is also very qualified and supportive. The question paper of exams comes from the University and it is not so easy. One needs to have proper command over the subject to pass the exams which are however not so tough.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies like BNY Melon, CRED, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, etc. come for in-campus interns. Various roles are offered to students but specifically Software Developer Engineer role is the most common among them. Other roles like backend developer, data scientist are also available.

Placement Experience :

The placement is the best thing that this college got. Every year more than 90% of the students get placed at an average CTC of 14 lakhs. Many companies which are based in Pune and Bangalore come to our college for placements. As of now the highest package of our college is 1 crore 14 lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Considering that AIT is a private college, it has somewhat justified fees structure. The hike policy is however not good. There is a 10% hike in fees every year. Talking about scholarships, if the student is aware of the happenings in college the deserving ones definitely get them. For students whose parents serve in the Indian Army, we have ESSA scholarships. In this, the students receive 10,000/- per year. For students whose parents are retired personnel, we have PMSS which gives 30,000/- per year. We also have other scholarships like the Badve scholarship, UdChalo scholarship, etc.

Campus Life :

The life at AIT is quite exciting. The senior-junior bond which we have here is the best. Talking about the fest, we have Solutions and Amethyst which are Technical and Cultural Fests respectively. Apart from that we also have Cultural, Technical and Sports Aakriti which is an inter-branch competition in the respectively fields. Considering the clubs we have technical board, OSS Club, Maths Club, Cultural board, sports club, etc. The clubs are regulated and run by the students. All the responsibility in managing and conducting the event is over the students which is the best thing a college can do. It gives us an experience of how this world works.

I choose this course because I was interested in the same. The teaching method was good for some subjects while it was average for the other subjects. Term exams were conducted very frequently with a unit test every month followed by the final semester examination.
