Ramnarain Ruia College Review

SR

Remarks :

The course doesn't have any kind of entrance test for enrollment, the admission is based on the 12th exam merit. For admission you will have to firstly fill the register form on the Mumbai University official website and also if you don't have an account then you'll have to make one. Once the admission process starts you'll have to make a list of desired colleges as per your preference. Also, you will have to fill out a separate application form for the college, you desire which is directly available on their website. The fees are around 300-500 based on the college. The application process usually starts a week or two after the 12th results are announced so be alert of the application dates once the results are out. The college provides concession on fees based on your reservation but you'll have to provide proof such as a caste certificate to avail of the benefit. The application is online mostly but some colleges provide offline forms as well.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course due to my interest in prediction models and understanding the probabilistic nature of human behavior. I wanted to build a strong statistical base to develop a career in machine learning and data science. The faculty to students is decent and the instructor tries to have one-to-one interaction with every student. The instructors are well qualified, most of them completed their PhD and some also have industrial work experience. The exams are quite easy and the instructors give you a brief idea of what type of questions will be asked and what topics are important. The notes provided by the instructor are most important when it comes to exams. The exams are mostly on a monthly basis with semester exams happening every 6 months. There are two internals in each semester. You'll also have practical exams either before the semester exams or subsequently after them.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for the course are quite affordable and are mostly composed of tuition and maintenance. I got no scholarships. The college doesn't provide any placements for internships as of now. You will have to upskill yourself and hunt for job opportunities. The majority of the students opt for master's programs and aim for high-paying jobs. It is important to check for the placements of the college before applying. You can do some certification courses on the side to increase your chances of getting a job.

Campus Life :

There are many events conducted by various departments of the college. My statistics department conducts an annual fest essque wherein there are quizzes and many exciting events. There are Monsoon and winter sports where you can play football and cricket and other exciting sports also the cultural fest Aarohan. You can be part of the event organization team and meet new people.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to build my career in food and nutrition. The student-to-faculty ratio is 1:35. The faculties are highly qualified and efficient in teaching the required subjects. The term exams were held on time and the level of difficulty to pass the exams was moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because in my way this course is simple and easy. Everyone can easily pass in good cgpa and sgpa. There are six subjects in 1 year and second year only 3 subjects. Therefore I am choosing this course. In this college, the faculty is very good

The students become eligible for job placements at the end of the final year. That's the 3rd year final semester. There are quite few companies interested in hiring us. Usually, more than half of students get hired each year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen a degree in Bachelor of Science in electronics from the college. I also have physics and maths as primary subjects including electronics. Language is also a part of the syllabus only for the first year of the course. The faculties for each subject are great teachers and some of them are even famous personalities within the fields. The faculty members belong to different age groups we have some lecturers who completed their master's degree in a subject in the last few years only but with spectacular results. Also, we have senior lecturers who have decades of experience as a teacher and a complete command over their subjects and are also respected and called by various colleges and the University itself. The exam pattern is almost completely theoretical which includes the practical examinations and projects separately. The exams are conducted with great precision and streakness. Cheating and other unlawful means to score in the exam are not at all tolerated.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is most recommended if you are interested in the IT field but didn't take your chance in engineering. The faculty is helpful and you have different faculty for each subject and as there is only one batch ratio is ideally supposed to be (no. of subject):60. The Teaching style was pretty standard that you would find in any college. You get provided with proper resources to pass all your term exams but may lag behind in practicals as per my experience

Placement Experience:

From first-year placement, teachers start to give sessions that can be helpful for your preparation. Then in 2nd year, they give you a chance to do an internship in the summer. In 3rd year in August, only companies start to come to college. Big MNCs and small organizations. Few students are there who got package 10 lakh to 15 lakh.
