Remarks :

I've cleared JEE ADVANCED and that was the only process to gain admission here. During our time cutoff for the computational engineering was 1200 and now in 2023 the cutoff is around 1300. Application of jee main and advanced can be found in its official website and further processes are explained in detail there.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course COMPUTATIONAL ENGINEERING is growing in the present scenario of overgrowing MNCs. I preferred this course as I like the ideology behind it. Any field of engineering requires a lot of computation work. This course allows us to explore every core branch of engineering and its computational work. Our faculty team includes faculty from every branch of engineering. They teach and help us to explore every other branch and their work, the science behind it, their various algorithms, etc.

Internships Opportunities :

Computational Engineers are open to all companies. Every other company allows computational engineers to sit for internships. 5 out of 10 of our seniors are interns at Google, KLA, and other companies.

Placement Experience :

Placements are offered to students who have completed 3rd year and should have maintained some threshold GPA. Google, Microsoft, NIUM, KLA, etc. Highest package: 63LPA, Avg. Pkg. : 20LPA. Almost 60 to 70 % are getting placed, in the Computational Engineering dept., this year 5/10 students were selected as interns at various companies of stripes of 200000 per month. I am planning to get a good salary-based job that fulfills my dream to travel to various countries.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Like other IITS, fees structure here is almost same, around 1,45000 per semester. Many scholership opportunities are there including nsp and other stuffs. If you are from economically poor sections, fee reimbursement is available.

Campus Life :

Annual and tech Fest : Elan and Envision, Conducted in : dec, Required books are available in library. Classroom logistics are very good, all the facilities are available Sports complex is the best part, it's very large. All kind of sports are played. Clubs : scitech clubs, elan & nvision, FCC, ECell, TEDx etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Facilities in room : internet(ethernet), electricity, bed, table, chair, almirah, fan, big window, ports etc. Menu : mostly south indian, biryani in every Sunday, In breakfast, milk, tea, egg, banana, bread, butter, cornflakes these are common in everyday + different food in different days. When you come to iith, after verification they will provide you the accomodation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this to get a degree in computer science which I thought would be better for me. The course curriculum is good as of now. The faculty-and-student ratio is okay too. But all of the faculty here are contract-based I suppose but are of good knowledge. The faculty inspires students to gain knowledge and motivates them to be independent as much as possible. They train students to be disciplined and are strict in that term. The teachers are also well qualified and of a good experience. The term exams got postponed due to the weather conditions and state holidays but apart from that, every other exam is conducted timely. But I would blame the correction for the pass percentage of the students from the university, though you would find the paper to score well.
