Remarks :
Getting admission in this course and specifically to this college was a bit difficult because for this we had to undergo an entrance exam called JEE (joint entrance examination ) which also has two subparts: JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. Mains for getting admission into NIT colleges and Advanced for getting admission into IIT colleges. To become eligible for Btech in NIT or IIT you have to clear the JEE exam, Application forms can be found on the official website of NTA and the application fees for this exam keep on changing, it was 600 for mains and 2800 for advanced but the previous year it got changed. mains happen twice in a year and Advance after that, JEE Mains dates were around May and June and Advanced was in September. I didn't avail of any reservation benefits as I belong to the general category of students. As far as I know, the admission process is conducted very well, so I don't think that many changes are needed in that process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I have a sort of interest in the core engineering sectors like chemical, mechanical, civil, and electrical. since I got a good rank in JEE mains and not a very good rank in JEE advanced, I was getting good NIT colleges and not good IITS so I opted to study chemical engineering from MNNIT Allahabad as this is the very good NIT according to ranking and placements in each sector and providing opportunities in core sector. faculty in our branch is around 15-20 and students are around 59, so there is a 0.3(appx.)ratio of faculty: to students. All the faculty members are qualified with PhD from recognized IITs Term exams happen twice in a year, The first is the mid-term examination conducted in the 3rd month of the start of the semester and then the end-term examination is conducted at the end of the semester, a normal semester is around 5-5.5 months. Exams are not very difficult to pass, you easily pass the exam if you seriously study 1 week before.
