BTS-- IIT Patna

Remarks :

Got admission through JEE Advance. All admission processes were done on the JoSAA counseling website. At my time, the cutoff for general neutral was around AIR 11.5k for my branch. The application fees and dates were done on JoSAA itself.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is easier relative to other branches like mechanical or electrical. I chose this branch due to the less hectic curriculum so that I would be able to pursue my other goals. Faculty: student ratio is 1:6. All professors are highly educated, mostly having done the Master's from top old IITs and PhD from abroad. They are very chill and teaching is also good. Each semester has two term exams, i.e., mid-term and end-term. Questions are pretty much do-able.

Internships Opportunities :

Google, Atlassian, Schrodinger, Sprinklr, Willings, Texas Instruments, Trilogy, Nvidia, etc. Software developer, core-engineering, finance, business analyst, hardware, etc. job roles are offered. The internship period allowed is 2 months.

Placement Experience :

From semester 7 students register themselves for on-campus placements. Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Atlassian, DEShaw, BHEL, ONGC, HDFC, etc. prominent companies are coming for placement. A total of 400 offers were made last time for the batch of around 350 students. The highest domestic package is 61Lpa. IT companies give an average package of 15-20 Lpa, while the sector gets around 10lpa. ComputerScience, Electrical has 100% palcement. Mechanical, and chemical has 80-90%.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The academic fee is 1Lakh per semester. Apart from this, there are Gymkhana fees, Hostel, and mess fees. But a Tution fee waiver is provided to students. For students having parental income from 1lakh to 5lakh, they only have to pay 1/3rd (i.e. 33,333) for tuition fees. And for those having income less than 1lakh, they need not pay the tuition fee, i.e., the whole tuition fee only gets waived. Scholarship Merit-Cum-Means is available for students having parental income less than 4.5Lakh and CPI more than 6. These students get a 100% tuition fee waiver and an additional Rs.8000 per year.

Campus Life :

There is Anwesha- the annual Cultural fest, Celesta-- annual tech fest, and Infinito--annual sports fest. They are conducted in March, October, and November respectively. All course books are available in the library, and students can issue them for a definite period of 1 month. Then it can be extended further by re-issueing. Classrooms are well equipped with boards, projectors, screens, LED TVs, Speaker-mic, ACs, etc. Many sports are played, and each has dedicated coaches who train the students free of cost. There are many societies/clubs that are solely run by students( funded by the administration). HoSCA - the cultural society, StudentTechnicalSociety, Our own Gymkhana website.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are in adequate numbers. Each room has an almirah, table, chair, and electrical facilities. Also, hostel Wi-Fi/LAN is provided which gives excellent internet speed. A meal in a mess is good. Have a variety of food on the menu.

Students become eligible for campus placement after the seventh semester. Some good and bug companies also visit to give campus placement. The average package for 2023 is about thirteen lakh per annum. My plan after getting the degree is to take a placement in a good company.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is fine. At first, it took time to understand what the professors were teaching. But as time passes by it becomes less confusing. But the best part about Electrical Engineering is that our Electrical Engineering Professor is very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason I took this course was the fact I thought I could excel in this as computer science was a subject I felt like a hobby to learn rather than a burden. The ratio in this college is maybe 4:2 in my course as there are a lot of boys in the school compared tp girls. The term exams were hard for me but hopefully, I will make it up at the end sem. The teaching of teachers is great and they clear all of your doubts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am pursuing btech (CSE) from this college, I have gone for this college because of the placement rate of this college. This college is started in 2017 and and 1st batch was going with 100% placement and if we talk about this year (2023) recently 3 students selected in autodest with 39lpa. Faculty: you will not be satisfied with faculty, I don't understand anything about what they are teaching and if you know, you know YouTube is the boss. Exams: recently last month there conducted mid sem exams and questions were from last year mid mid-semester pyq so that was easy.

Placement of IIT PATNA is too high and enjoyable. Here fourth-year students become eligible for campus placements because in third they need to do internship programs. Highest package for here is about 1 crore. Mostly 50-70 percent of students go for placements.
