Remarks :

(10+2) course physics, chemistry, biology. On our university website, we get the application form, for application no need for money. University releases admission notices from time to time every year. this university has 3 types of quotas - state quota, ICAR quota, and GTA quota. No improvement is needed, it's quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course good scope for many project work, private company, and government jobs ( FEO posts in West Bengal). It is 4 4-year course an almost 35 students read it every year in college, the real seat is 44. here all professors teach well, projector facilities are available, and AC is in the classroom. there are separate practical classrooms for each. Every year has two semesters, in each semester has an internal exam and an external exam. it is very tough to pass the exam. for qualifying in the semester need a 7.0 cgpa.

Class Size : 35Course Fees : INR 11000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

godrej, agrovate,aqua private ltd.DHPL VRM Private Ltd. etc. They looking for a graduate or postgraduate student who has good knowledge of this course also took interviews to select the student's stipend depending upon the company 15k to 20k. There are some projects where students are joining. the projects are the Gotala Fisheries Project, IMC Fisheries Project, etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Admission fees require 9800 rs and per semester we have to pay 5710 rs (hostel fees are also included in that). University has a scholarship for the top 10 students, State-level scholarships, and ICAR scholarships are available. Every year, our university holds a campus, and graduate students can work in prestigious companies like godrej agrovet, agro sapti, etc. Ph.D. students get mainly a stipend.

Campus Life :

In our university, two types of fest are arranged agomoni before Durga Puja and another unmesh fest for freshers and also happens some other programs. In the library, there are many kinds of books about fishery-related and current journals and everyday newspaper is available. This classroom has well projector system, light, fan AC, good desk, etc. Every year held annual programme and universities programme. students sometimes held team sports on their own.

Hostel Facilities :

There are available light and fan good bed chair table desk and other facility also available. There are provide good meal quality and ensure student health with hygienic food. hostel facility at the time of admission and fees are very reasonable like 300 rupees per month and facilities like a water fan bed and good room bathroom are available. here are many areas near like New Garia Chakgaria etc where can rent a room.

Pros and cons of WBUAFS

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to pursue a career in agriculture and allied sciences that's why I choose this course. The university has pretty good faculties. Our college has a 1: 6.5 faculty: student ratio. The qualification of the faculty is great. Among 26 faculties 22 faculties have Ph.D. and the other 4 are also pursuing their Ph.D. in their respective fields. The teaching method is quite good. I can assure you that it will be worth your bachelor's degree but I recommend doing a master's from another college. Exams will be on a semester basis i.e. every 6 months there will be one-semester end term and before the end term, there will be one mid-term. So basically for one semester, you have to appear 2 exams; one is mid term then the other is end-term. Exams are not difficult at all. Questions are from what you are taught in the class.

Grow Fish and Grow with Fish

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually,From my Childhood I love to see the aquariums and ornamental fishes so my dream is to become an aquaculturist and solve the problem of fish farmer . Fishery is also a sunrise sector in India .If we use our country's wetlands, reservoirs properly then it's very easy to reduce the food scarcity and malnutrition. Faculty is very good having well educated, helpful and cooperative teachers . Laboratories is also good,lots of chemical and instruments available for practical.There are 44 students in one year class . Faculty have lots of educated teachers, students and researchers.Most of the teachers are phd passed.In our faculty there are lots of research projects are done like fish preservation methods, intensive,semi intensive farming,electro fishing etc.Teaching methods are also good teachers teach us through projectors and PPT slides. Exams are taken at the interval of 6 months. In one semester we have to pass both mid term and end term exam.The question is moderate level.

Placement Experience:

After getting Bfsc degree we are eligible for campus placement. Godrej & many other companies have visited. 12 lakhs per annum jobs are offered by Godrej. Almost every student gets placement. I want to be admission to Central University and continue for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Basically after graduation, students are eligible for campus placement.. companies like godrej, etc. are visited ... a very small percentage of students are getting this placement. after getting this degree, we plan to complete PG and Ph.D. as FEO is the only government job for this course. so we all the students depend on this job only otherwise company job or competitive exam.
