IGDTUW - Pros and Cons

Remarks :

I took the JEE-Mains Exam for admission to IGDTUW. JEE-Mains is conducted on a national level by the organization called NTA. It is conducted in 2 rounds. The questions are asked from Maths, Chemistry, and Physics. I had a home state quota and I got into the CSE-AI branch here.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I really like the curriculum of my branch. It is formulated in the best way possible. The faculty here is also very good and helpful. They know what they are teaching and keep up updated with all the information needed. Term exams are conducted every 6 months and are moderately easy if you know the subject.

Internships Opportunities :

There are many companies that visit our college including Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Walmart, Cisco, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Uber, Deloitte, etc. The list is never-ending. The average package offered is 26lpa and the highest was 92lpa.

Placement Experience :

Placements here are really good. More than 90 percent of the students get placed. An average package of 26lpa was recorded in the year 2022-23. Highest package was 92lpa. I plan to get places in a corporate job via college placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are quite minimal considering it is a college under the Delhi government. There are a lot of scholarship opportunities and placement opportunities. The college provides the registration fees if I wish to publish a research paper.

Campus Life :

We have Tauranga- our cultural fest and innerve- our technical fest. Both of them are celebrated with great enthusiasm. The maximum amount of books needed are available in hard copy. Also, we have a digital library where you can access soft copies as well. Some classrooms are equipped with AC and digital board while some are not. There is a lack of extracurricular activities like sports because of the small campus. But we have great dance and music societies.

Placement Experience:

In this competitive era, preparing yourself for campus placements is the most pivotal part of education. Earlier, most of the students ignored the significance of the campus placements and waved goodbye to the opportunities of getting selected by the company. But now, every year, you can observe hundreds of students taking active participation in the campus placement process. One of the advantages of campus recruitment is the assurance of stable job profiles in reputed companies. In India, the majority of campus recruitment companies often lower their hiring criteria for entry-level employment. However, if you are applying through an Off-campus or Pool campus placement drive. In that case, there’s much more than technical knowledge required to clear the interview as the scale of competition increases.
