Which is better for a BCA: Maharaja Surajmal or VIPS in terms of placement?

According to one of my friends at VIPS, it is much better than Maharaja Surajmal. They both are affiliated with the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). So essentially, the core study structure will be more or less similar at both institutes. But VIPS is known to have a better faculty, infrastructure, and placements.

Your first year at VIPS will go like a breeze with the smooth conduct of academics as well as extra-curricular activities.

Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies Courses

Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies Admission

The application process for admission to all courses offered by VIPS is done in online mode through the official website of the institute. Interested and eligible candidates can submit the application form on the institute’s website.

VIPS UG Admission

The institute offers various courses at an undergraduate level like BA, BBA, BALLB, BCA, BBA LLB, BJMC, etc. The minimum eligibility for admission to UG courses is class 12 in relevant stream with not less than 50% marks.

Selection for all courses is done on the basis of IP University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) which is conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their marks obtained in CET are considered for admission.

VIPS MCA & LLM Admission

Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a full-time 3 years duration program. The intake of this program is 120. To be eligible for admission to MCA, students should have BCA degree or any other relevant graduate degree with minimum 50% marks.

Mater of Law (LLM) is a full-time postgraduate degree. The duration of this program is 1 year with an intake capacity of 40 only. Applicants having LLB degree with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for this program.

VIPS Admission is done through entrance test namely- IPU CET. Those who will successfully qualify the exam are considered for admission process.

What Students Say?

The crowd of the college is also one of the best crowds of Delhi.
Clubs are really good for me coding club is the best .
Infrastructure of college is quite good having great ambience around with good crowd of students and canteen around.
The Campus is good and the facilities provided are also good along with the staff and teachers
Faulty members are very good with good heart and very dedicated
The fests and the events organised by the college are really amazing
Teachers are nice as they are there to help you any time

Dislike

The course curriculum is a little outdated as there are some subjects that are no longer in fashion, according to current market demands.
Our college doesnt provide internships; we have to look for them ourselves. So, this is the negative part of the college.
The average placement rate of my program is very low. I assume this is because of all the low offers received and a pathetic network of companies, at least in BBA and BCom(H). Then there are three placement packages, which are equally pathetic.
There are no scholarships for loans. I dont know about loans, but there is an EWS quota which provides university-based relaxation for economically weak students.
There is no social life on the campus; its so small, smaller than my school.
I have not opted for the hostel, even though there is no hostel facility provided by the college.
The only bad remark is that the parking is very hard or difficult outside college.

Life at VIPS college

The common law enterance test (CLAT) is the entrance test required for admission. One is required to fill the GGSIPU form and wait for the counselling, according to the rank one gets in clat, the college is alloted to the candidate. After allotment of college in counselling rounds, the candidate is required to report at the college within the prescribed dates and carry some documents mentioned online. The college authorities verify the files, deposit the fees, and then you are good to go to enjoy your college life.

You have to fill out the form for giving the entrance exam the eligibility for the BCA entrance exam was you must have maths or IP in your 12th class and must have scored a minimum of 50% in your 12th class. Although the admission process was too long.

The Best Campus Life of a Law Student!

The course I opted for (BBA LLB), required the marks of the CLAT entrance test. It is the standard law entrance test for the country. Also, a minimum of around 50% in XII was required. The counseling procedure was very easy & it was to be done on the GGSIPU online counseling portal. It is for the entire GGSIPU colleges (15+) for all the courses. The cutoff for my course (law) was decided by CLAT. The portal is very good but the UI could be made better & there are some glitches like there was no option to deselect a course if you mistakenly selected one.

Admission to this college is done on the basis of JEE mains rank. As it is affiliated with GGSIPU therefore one has to fill out the application form for admission. The cutoff is approx 1-2 lac for admission in Btech courses in VIPS

I took an entrance exam in which eligibility was that you should have maths in class 12 I found the form on the GGSIPU website and the application fee was 1200 later I paid 1000 as cancellation fees. I got a 380 rank in the entrance exam and in 1st round of choice filling I got into VIPS college which I wanted.
