DELHI UNIVERSITY - a dream for thousands of students

Remarks :

admission process was very tiresome. we were the first batch that was given CUET. There was no admission on the basis of 12th marks percentages so it was a whole new change for us. cuet process was also uncertain. my exam center was 200 km away from my city. I scored decent marks to get admission to the statistics honors course at Delhi University. Then we had to register on the du case portal for our admission. After that, our simulated ranks were generated to give us an idea. after some data, our colleges were allotted to us which we can upgrade or freeze.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course is Statistics Honors which is the most challenging course at Delhi University. I chose this because I have a natural affinity towards maths also it was my dream course. Our batch has approximately 60 students. Our faculty is greatly studied by renowned IITs and colleges. They solve all our doubts and queries. Talking about the term exams they were a new experience for us different from what we had in our school but we passed them.

Internships Opportunities :

There is a Vice-Chancellor Internship Scheme offered by the DU administration with a stipend of 5000 per month. The projects involve data entry and solving queries of the juniors. Many internships are available in areas such as finance, marketing, and human resources.

Placement Experience :

As far as I know, students in their fifth semester are eligible to participate in the placement drive. During our college's placement season, we had several reputed companies such as Ernst and Young, Redseer Consulting, Tresvista, De Shaw, and Deloitte visiting our campus. The highest package offered was 20 lakhs, while the average package was 10 lakhs. Around 50-60 students were placed. After graduation, I plan on pursuing a Master's degree in Economics.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

our cost to study is nominal approximately 16 thousand tuition fees which is very low compared to the private colleges. There is some talk of a fee hike policy but they are all rumors. There are many scholarships offered by our college for disadvantaged people. I got the central sector scholarship of 1000 per month.

Campus Life :

life is very different from our school Here we can roam here and there and nobody will scold you You have to be sincere about who you are friends with. Our library has the latest journals of research publications. books can be issued by the librarian. The classroom has proper ventilation and lighting. Our college has a football team, NCC, NSS etc. Societies are enactus, fiance and investment cell, and fine arts society.

Hostel Facilities :

our hostel is very affordable and spacious. There is provision for double room accommodation for us. Nutritious meals are provided to us and there is a menu decided by the students itself. The registration process for the hostel is very smooth. There is an online form on the college website free of cost admission is given on merit. You also can rent a PG in Kamla Nagar, Vijay Nagar.
