Daulat Ram College is a women’s college which is a constituent college of Delhi University. Daulat Ram College Admission Process 2023

Admission to UG courses in Daulat Ram College is based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score. The Final selection of candidates will be done through e-counselling on the basis of CUET marks. Candidates seeking admission through sports and extracurricular activities will be required to appear for a performance test along with the CUET. Selection of candidates for ECA will be made on a combination of CUET examination score and the candidate’s performance test. Candidates must have a minimum of 25 percent score on their CUET and a minimum of 75 percent score on their performance test.

Admission to the PG courses at Daulat Ram College is done through CUET PG. As per the DU admission policy, 50% seats will be reserved for DU students, while admission to the 50% seats will be provided through CUET PG.

Daulat Ram College Application Process

Candidates have to register themselves on the common application portal
After the registration, candidates can begin to fill the Online Application Form using their credentials
Candidates must fill the Online Application Form with care as they will not be able to make any changes in the future.
Candidates are advised to carefully select the college and courses they want to opt for UG programmes.
Candidates need to attach certain documents while submitting the form such as photograph, signature, identity proof, etc.
Candidates need to pay the application fee at the time of submitting the form or else the Online Application Form will not be considered.
Candidates can login to their portals for any new updates, college cutoffs and so forth.
Candidates who are accepted must report to college where the cutoff percentage is met.

DRC offers scholarship facilities to the meritorious students and also to those who belong to the reservation categories. The details of some scholarships are given below:

Silver Jubilee Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to the top 3 students of 1st and 2nd year of the Delhi University Examination.
Dr. Balmukund Tandon Memorial Scholarship: This award is given to the topper of the 2nd year English Honours students for obtaining the highest marks.
Smt. Vidyawati Kapur Scholarship: This aid is given to the best blind student of the year.
Kum. Kanta Sharma Memorial: This scholarship is awarded to the student of M.A in specialisations of Hindi on the basis of previous performance in BA (Hons.) Hindi.
Shri Sultan Chand Memorial Scholarship: This award is for the topper student of B.Com in 1st year, in 2nd Year and in 3rd Year of the college.

There are other scholarships like free concession for the meritorious reservation categories. Reserved category students are awarded Post Matric Scholarships by the Directorate of Education Delhi College Office and as per the Delhi University rules. This facility can be availed from the college office.

Library

The college has an ample collection of books, journals/periodicals. The books are sorted in 3 sections which are general section, reserved section and reference section and also the latest section concludes the braille section. The library includes e-book resources too.

Laboratories

The college has laboratory facilities for the practical works. Courses like Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology which need practicals along with Nutrition & Health Education, Mathematics and Psychology have laboratories too. There is a computer lab which includes 38 computers with wifi connection.

Hostel

The hostel facility is for the meritorious students who are possessing UG courses. The hostel has a capacity to accommodate 200 students. It provides basic amenities like common room, mess, internet connection etc. The hostel fee is 54.49 K per year.

Dislike

Classes are very small in size and the worst thing was to manage anyhow, but blind children suffer more than us.
I was in B.Sc. Hons, so there was no internship in my course. As a result, no company has approached me for an internship. Due to these reasons, I have no internship experience, nor have I joined any company for an internship till now.
There is no campus placement in our course, and there are not many job opportunities in this course. I have done the course because I like to learn, and for a job, we have to struggle ourselves only.
All the books were usually outdated; remember Im speaking from the B.Com Hons point of view.
I can tell you about the canteen. It was a total mess with very bad quality food, and oil was dripping from everywhere.
Well, it was my college, so I wont say it was bad, but some changes are required.
