Remarks :
Basically to get into the college you need to crack the jee mains exam with a good rank. The cutoff of branches varies according to the ranks. Admission occurs through jossa portal. Recently 2 new courses were added to the btech category in Jossa. The college provides large cutoffs for home state and reservation categories.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum has improved this year. Students previously were taught physics, chemistry, and such subjects that weren't related to their branch. But from this year every branch gets subjects in the first year as per their domain and that would help them in future years too. The faculty-to-student ratio would be 1:30. The senior faculty members are well qualified from prestigious foreign/Indian colleges. They carry quite good degrees . Whereas some of them work as assistant teachers who also have good knowledge about the subjects. The teaching method varies teacher to teacher. Most teacher prefer blackboards whereas some use presentations for better explanation. The exams are 3 months apart from each other. The difficulty level depends on the teacher setting it. Basically, it is good if you have prepared well for the subject.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship is good but try more from your side to look for internships on your own. Internship is provided throughout 3rd year and there is an internship representative to handle all these. Internship stats are generally released on the college LinkedIn profile.
Placement Experience :
You can go for campus placement in 3rd year. Students basically get PPO after doing internships. The companies visited here are Microsoft, amazon, IndiaMART, Samsung and so on. The highest package offered as per 2023 stats are 51 lpa and the average package given was basically around 13 lpa. Placements vary from branch to branch and the percentage of students getting placed is. For me, I would go for remote jobs after getting my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure varies on income and category reservation. For me being a general candidate and having income >5lpa I had to pay 88000 per sem and 25000 mess fees. For 1-5 lpa students fees is 1/3rd of the actual fees. For sc/st and <1lpa students they avail fee waiver but have to pay admission fees of 25000. The scholarship opportunities provided by college carry heavy crowds so it's better if you look for scholarships from your own side.
Campus Life :
Campus life is good. You get to enjoy many events at various festivals. Basically the college has a rich culture of extracurricular activities. The fests here are techniti in the month of March and utkansh in the month of June. The library here is well-equipped with quality books and journals. Classrooms are well facilitated with ACs and projectors. Every year there is a sports fest and other sports events in the college. Also, the college takes their students in inter-college and inter-NIT events in other colleges. There are many clubs here that will boost the skills of a student from basic to pro. The social club here is Prayaas - aims to teach minor students in and outside the college. Other clubs include Zeal, criminalz crew, bawre theatre, media cell, gdsc , etc. Also, many branches have their own societies that help in building up their branch levels.
