Bachelor of Arts [B.A] [Fashion Design and Promotion] From University of Sunderland

Students will study a range of compulsory law classes which are taught by Strathclyde Law School and a number of compulsory finance and accounting classes offered by the Strathclyde Business School. These classes will cover topics such as international banking law, the legal aspects of financial regulation, principles of corporate finance and accounting for financial analysis. In addition, students will be able to choose from a number of electives which cover topics such as international investment law or comparative contract law. In the summer semester, students will engage in independent study in the preparation of a dissertation.

The LL.M in Law and Finance is run by the Strathclyde Law School which also hosts the Strathclyde Law Clinic. Students on the course can apply to act as student advisers in the newly established Small Business Law Unit (SBLU) which is a project within the Law Clinic. The SBLU will provide pro-bono transactional and dispute resolution legal services to businesses in Glasgow and the surrounding areas. The unit will support start-ups, microenterprises, social enterprises and charities that could not normally afford to pay for a lawyer. The unit aims to empower and facilitate local business owners and organisations to educate themselves on their legal responsibilities and protect themselves legally. In turn, it is hoped that this will help these businesses to succeed, creating benefits for the wider community such as employment opportunities, increased access to services and the furtherance of communitiesÕ shared aspirations.
