This degree will explore the ways in which we can attempt to answer these questions, using approaches that range from the biochemistry and biophysics of the nerve cell to a psychologistÕs investigation of the machinery of the mind. The recent growth of this subject is due to the important contribution neuroscience is making to the understanding and treatment of mental and other neurological disorders.

Your third year is spent on a professional work placement related to your degree. Experience shows that this greatly enhances your subsequent employment prospects.

Although you may joing the School on the BSc Neuroscience programme, your degree title remains flexible up until your fnal year.Ê You can choose to stick with your original degree registration or switch to another of our bioscience courses.Ê You can also choose to graduate with one of our 'exit' degrees, which include BSc Biomedical Sciences (Physiology) and BSc Biological Sciences (Genetics).

Academic Requirements: 

  • 32-34 overall or 6,6,5 in 3 HL subjects
  • Official transcripts of all the previous school, colleges or universities

English Language Requirements: 

  • IELTS academic: overall 6.5 minimum with 5.5 in each subskill
  • TOEFL iBT: 90 overall minimum with minimum socres of 17 for writing, 17 for listening, 18 for reading and 20 for speaking
  • PTE academic: 62 minimum overall with overall 59 minimum in all communicative skills

Indian Student Specific Requirements: 

  • Average of 75-77% in top 4 subjects (not including physical education) in Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (Class XII)
