- Master of Science in Economics and Econometrics at the University of Nottingham is a 1-year program.

- Economics and Econometrics MSc provides students with a solid foundation in current econometric theory, and the expertise to apply that theory to the analysis of economic data.
- The course is made up of 120 credits of core and optional taught modules, plus a 60-credit dissertation on a subject of their choice
- Students gain real experience by applying for internships and placements through the faculty placements scheme.
- The teaching is influenced by the work of researchers at the Granger Centre for Time Series Econometrics. The centre focuses on research in both theoretical and applied time series econometric analysis, including panel data methods.
- Students will receive one-to-one guidance to enable them to complete their research projects.
- Each module in semester one will have three contact hours per week, made up of a mixture of lectures, tutorials, and lab classes.
- Each module in semester two will have two contact hours per week and expect students to spend slightly more time in self-study as students start to work on their dissertation.
- During June, July, and August, students will work on their dissertation, supported by a minimum of three one-to-one supervision meetings with their supervisor.
- Students with the opportunity to transfer to a dual degree, spending a second year in Germany.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, usually in a relevant subject area. This should be equivalent to at least a UK ‘Upper Second Class (2:1)’ or ‘Lower Second Class (2:2)’ degree.
- Students from Indian Universities should score 60% in Upper Second Class (2:1)’ or 55% in ‘Lower Second Class (2:2)’ degrees. These are the college minimum scores and particular departments may seek grades at a higher level.
- Applicant should hold a GPA of 3.0 (Upper Second Class) or 2.6 (Lower Second Class) out of 4.0 or hold a GPA of 6.0 (Upper Second Class) or 5.5 (Lower Second Class) out of 10.
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 90 in ibt
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- PTE: minimum 71
