JIPMER Ph.D. admission 2023 are going to begin soon. Admissions in this course are based on the merit rank in the entrance examination and interview conducted by the college itself. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research offers Ph.D. courses in different specializations that are Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Paediatrics, Clinical Immunology, Pathology, and Medicine. It is a full-time course which acquires a master’s degree from any recognized University.

The student who wants to take admission in this course must have any of the degree given below

• The student must have a degree of doctor of medicine, master of Chirurgie, doctor of medicine, master of surgery, or diplomate of the national board of examination or equivalent.
• Master of Science in a subject allied to life sciences or biomedical sciences with at least 55% off marks as an aggregate and 50% of marks in case of SC/ST/OBC category students.
• The student must have a degree of Bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery with the minimum percentage of 55% as an aggregate and 50% of marks and aggregate in the case of SC/ST/OBC category students.

How to apply

• In July the Ph.D. program admission process starts every year.
• In all the Indian major newspaper calls for applications announced in May every year.
• Students can apply online and register themselves through JIPMER official website.
• On the 3rd Sunday of June, the college conducts the entrance examination.
• Admission starts from 1st July and closes on 31st July.
• The admissions are done on the merit rank of the entrance examination conducted by the college for the Ph.D. course.
