Maulana Azad Urdu University Ph.D. Eligibility
- Master’s degree in equivalent branch with 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PD/ VH).
- Candidates not having M.A./ M. Phil in Translation Studies can have a postgraduate degree in any disciple and should fulfill any one of the following conditions:
- Must have published 5 articles translated from English to Urdu in reputed Urdu Journals and Magazines.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an English-Urdu Translator in a Public sector organization/ Published at least one book of a minimum of 100 pages, translated from English to Urdu.
- Entrance test score (written and interview) with a minimum of 50%.
- Qualified UGC/ CSIR-JRF/ NET, valid GATE score/ SLE/ M. Phil.
Maulana Azad Urdu University Ph.D. Admission Guidelines
The admission is based on the entrance exam. Admission to Ph.D. is through an online process.

- Fill in the information carefully and submit the form.
- Pay the application fee of INR 500 for the General category and INR 300 for SC/ ST/ PwD/ Women Application through the online banking process.
