Telangana University Admission 2024: PG Admissions, Eligibility, Application process

Telangana University provides B. Ed in respective faculties of Computer Science, Law and Education. The admission is based on performance in TS EDCET. The merit list is prepared on basis of rank secured by students in the entrance exam. The details of entrance exam are described below:

TS EDCET Question paper for Examination consists of 150 Multiple Choice Questions. The paper is Computer Based (CBT) and time allotted for the exam is two hours. The paper is divided into 3 parts:

Part 1 ( common for all)

English 25 questions for 25 marks.

Part 2( common for all)

General Knowledge 15 questions for 15 marks

 Teaching Aptitude 10 questions for 10 marks.

Part 3

This part deals with paper of respective subjects chosen by the candidate.

• Social studies: 100 questions for 100 marks (Geography-35, History-30 civics-15, Economics-20)
• Physical science: 100 questions for 100 marks (physics -50 chemistry-50)
• Mathematics: 100 questions for 100 marks.
• English 100 questions for 100 marks.

Candidates must keep the following facts in mind before applying for entrance test:

• Candidates should have passed / appearing for final year examination of B.A / B.Sc / B.Sc Home science / B.Com / B.C.A / B.B.M.
• Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in case of general category  ( 40% marks for in case of SC / ST / BC / PH) either in the Master Degree in relevant subject or 5 years Integrated course in the relevant subject.
• Candidates should have passed/appearing for final year examination of B.E / B.tech with Science / Mathematics as one of the subject and candidates should secure a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination. 
• The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on 1st July of the year in which notification is issued.

NOTE: The candidates who have passed M.B.B.S / B.D.S / B.A.M.S / B.L / L.L.B / B.A (Languages) / B.O.L etc are not eligible for admission into B.Ed course.

For admission into these MBA and MCA, TS ICET Exam is conducted by the Kakatiya University, Warangal. The merit list is prepared on basis of rank secured by the student in the entrance exam. Counseling for the selected candidates is done in the month of July. The details of TS ICET Exam is given below:

The candidates appearing in the final year of degree examination are also eligible to appear in the ICET Examination. Students need to keep in mind following eligibility criteria before appearing for entrance exam:

For MBA Course: Candidates should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in not less than three years duration from any recognized University or equivalent, with minimum 50% marks & Mathematics as one of the subjects in SSC Level.

For MCA Course: Candidates should have passed Bachelor’s Degree Examination of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics subject at 10+2 level.

Telangana University provides UG and PG courses in the domain of law. The admission is conducted through entrance exam at both UG and PG level. TS LAW CET is conducted at UG level and PGLCET is conducted at PG level The merit list is prepared on basis of rank secured by the student in the entrance exam.

The table below gives the list of TS LAW CET and PGCLET:

TS LAW CET: Passing marks is 35%.

PGCLET: Passing marks is 25%

Students must consider following eligibility criteria before applying for TS LAW CET and PGCLET:

TS LAWCET

• Applicants should have the domicile of Telangana with Indian Nationality.
• For LLB course applicants should have at least 45% (40% in case of SC/ST) in their Bachelor’s degree from recognized board/University.
• Applicants who are appearing for qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
• Age limit should be 30 years for the applicants who wants join in 3 years L.L.B program.

PGCLET

• The candidate should be an Indian National and should satisfy Local/Unreserved status requirement
• Candidates holding LL.B./B.L. 3 / 5-year degree on the date of application and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are also eligible.
