Aryabhatta Knowledge University, also known as AKU Patna has been established by Government of Bihar for the development and management of educational infrastructure related to technical, medical, management and allied professional education in the state.

It offers a number of courses in technical, medical and management fields under various specializations. The UG level courses include B.Tech., M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.A.M.S., etc., whereas the PG level courses include M.Tech., M.S., M.D., M.B.A., M.Sc., etc. The university also offers the doctoral degree in various different fields of research.
