Bachelor of Computer Applications [BCA] From IPU, New Delhi

IPU BCA admission 2024 is ongoing. Registration and payment of counseling participation fee for IPU BCA Round 03 counselling will be done from July 21 to July 22, 2024. Candidates participating in the round 03 counseling for these programs can fill choices/preferences from July 21 to July 23, 2024. IP University BCA Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for BCA admission at IPU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• Candidates should have completed 10+2 from a recognised university/ institute.
• The candidate should score at least 50% in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates appearing for the 10+2 examinations can also apply.
• Candidates should have English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and pass in both.
• Candidates should have Computer Science / Informatics Practice / Computer Applications / Multimedia & Web Technology / Data Management Application / Web Application as a compulsory subject with 50 theory and 50 practical ratio.
• Candidates who have completed a three year Diploma in Engineering from an AICTE approved course and from a recognised institute with 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

IP University BCA Admission Guidelines

Admission to BCA at IPU is based on scores obtained in the IPU Common Entrance Test (IPU CET). The university also accepts Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) scores for admission. The first preference will be given to IPU CET and national-level test scores for respective programs and CUET scores will be given second preference. Candidates who qualify the entrance exam will be called for counselling. Based on the cutoff released by the university, candidates will be allotted seats.

How to Apply for IP University BCA?

• Visit the official website of IPU - ipu.ac.in
• Go to the Admission Section on the homepage and click on “Apply Online”
• Click on “IPU Registration” to proceed further
• Click on “Fresh Candidate Registration” in order to signup at IPU admission portal
• Read the terms and conditions carefully and click on “I Agree” to proceed further
• Fill in the necessary details like Name, Mobile No, Email ID, and create your user id and password
• Click on Submit button and you’ll be redirected to the login page
• Now, log in using your user id and password
• Fill the application form by providing General and Professional Information along with Payment details
• Upload the scanned copies of the required documents
• Verify the details you have provided in the form and check the Declaration box
• Submit the application form and pay an application fee of INR 1500/-  by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net-Banking
• After fee submission, course details along with transaction ID will be displayed
• Download and take a printout of the application form for further reference

CUET Application Process

• Visit the official website cuet.samarth.ac.in. 
• Register by filling in all the required details. An application number and password will be generated and sent to your registered mobile no and email.
• Login to your accounts using newly generated application number and password.
• Fill the CUET application form by providing valid details.
• Fill all the educational details and proceed towards filling university and program name.
• Select the test paper/subject for the First & Second slot of CUET exam. It is advised to read the information bulletin of the respective University before test paper/subject selection.
• Candidates can select the four cities as their CUET examination center on the basis of their preferences. Click the “save” button to proceed further.
• Upload the supporting documents for the details mentioned in the application form. The documents need to be uploaded in the provided format.
• View and update the application form before the application fee payment. Once all the details are verified check all the uploaded documents using the view button in the ‘Uploaded Scanned Files’ section.
• Confirm their Email ID before proceeding with CUET Application Fee Payment.
• Pay the application fee, The application form will be submitted on paying the fee.
• Download the confirmation page for future reference.

• Receipt of the fee remitted for acceptance of allotment.
• Age proof.
• Qualifying Certificate.
• 10+2 mark sheets.

IP University BCA Course Details

The BCA program at Indraprastha University is a 3 year course and is offered across the general specialisation. The course electives are as mentioned below.

• The BCA course has been divided into six semesters.
• Practicals in the first three semesters are each of six credit units. Practicals in the next three semesters are each of four credit units.
• The curriculum allows students to choose amongst elective courses.
• Students can select elective courses from the prescribed list of 6 courses in semester V and VI.
• Students are required to undergo a summer training for 4 weeks after the completion of Semester IV.
• Students will need to present a minor project report and attend the viva- voice seminar at the end of Semester V.
• Students are required to do a major project comprising 5 credit units in Semester VI.
• For passing the BCA degree program the student shall be required to achieve a minimum of 150 credit units. The total credit units offered are 160.
