Certificate in Nutrition and Child Care (Part Time) From IGNOU, New Delhi

IGNOU CNCC admission 2024 for the January session has been started from December 15, 2023. The last date to apply is March 20, 2024. IGNOU offers Certificate in Nutrition and Childcare (CNCC) course for a minim duration of 6 months and it can be extended up to 2 years. Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent qualification with sufficient marks from a recognized board of Education are eligible for admission to the course. selection of the candidates will be done on a merit basis. For admission to CNCC programmes, an applicant possessing qualifications mentioned below is eligible to apply:

• Applicants must have cleared 10 + 2 examination from a recognised board or its equivalent.

                                                                              OR

• BPP (Bachelor Preparatory Programme) from IGNOU.

CNCC IGNOU Assignments

Assignments constitute continuous evaluation. The marks that you secure in the assignments will be counted in your final result. As mentioned earlier, an assignment of a course carries 30% weightage. You are therefore advised to take your assignment seriously. 

Non Submission of Assignment

The TMA for each semester can be downloaded from the Student Zone of the University website. You have to complete the assignment within the due dates specified in the assignment booklet. You will not be allowed to appear for the term-end examination for any course if you do not submit the assignment in time for that course. If you appear in the term-end examination, without submitting the assignments, the result of the term-end examination is liable to be canceled.

CNCC IGNOU Admission

IGNOU is one of the largest universities in India, attaining the eligibility criteria depending on the program you have selected along with the admission process.

How to Apply?

Online Procedure:

1. Visit on the official website of IGNOU.
2. Click the available programme tab on the homepage.
3. Select the required program.
4. As per rules of University, you are also advised to download Common Prospectus.
5. Now, click on “NEW REGISTRATION” fill the require details and register yourself as a new applicant.
6. Make sure, while choosing your username should be between 8 to 16 characters.
7. Create your password should be alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters.
8. After, filling the required information click on the “SUBMIT” button.
9. Your username will be instantly sent to you through email or SMS.
10. Application fee can be paid through credit card, debit card and net banking.

Offline Procedure: 

The offline procedure is also available for CNCC applicants if they don’t want to follow the online procedure. Simply go the nearest regional centre and ask for application form fill the application form according to given instructions without making any mistake then submit your form to the IGNOU regional centre.

Some necessary documents before filling the application form:

1. A Photograph
2. Signature
3. Copy of relevant Education Qualification.
4. Copy of Experience Certificate (if any )
5. Copy of Category Certificate ( if SC/ST / OBC)
6. Copy of BPL Certificate ( if Below Poverty Line ).

Except photograph and signature all documents should be less than 400 KB .

CNCC IGNOU Syllabus

The duration for CNCC Program (Certificate in Nutrition and Childcare ) is 6 months , but you are allowed to take up to 2 years to complete it . The medium of instruction is both Hindi and English applicants can choose accordingly. The Mode of Education in this program will be Print Material, Audio and Video Programmes and assignments.

The CNCC Program consist of two courses –

1. Nutrition for the Community: This course aims to help in - 

• Choose the right kind of food keeping cost in mind.
• Sensibly plan price nutrition meal for yourself and other member of the family.
• Ascertain and recognise common illness that arises due to eating wrong type of food.
• Enlighten yourself to the numerous type of program organised by government to tackle nutrition problems.
• Plan the production of suitable package lunches and snacks in large quantity for distribution among schools, colleges, institutions and offices .

2. Organising Child Care Services: this course aim to help in –

• Developing responsiveness towards the need & rights of children.
• Obtaining skills to day to day interacting with children.
• Making play activities for children that will encourage development.
• Understanding the principles of organising child care centre.

IGNOU CNCC Fee Structure

The Certified Program fees is INR 1800 ( One thousand eight hundred only ) The fees is to be paid at time of admission in one in one instalment and amount once paid are not refundable .
