Possesses Master’s Degree from a University recognized by UGC or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in such fields of study as are notified for the purpose from time to time by the University with at least 55% marks [50% marks in the case of SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy Layer) and Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991]excluding grace mark.

The selection is done on the basis of the written test followed by an interview. Applications found suitable for admission will be called for the entrance test. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for the interview round. Offer letters for admission will be sent to the Selected Candidates only.
Note: Candidates holding M.Phil. Degree (along with course work and dissertation both) or those candidates who have cleared NET (conducted by UGC/ CSIR/ ICAR) or any other equivalent examination will be exempted from appearing in the Entrance Test.

To enroll for admission in IGNOU, the applicant must submit the application form available on the official website of the university. They can apply online as well as offline mode. However, it must be noted that the application forms are available on certain dates before the session commences. Follow the below-mentioned steps on how to fill IGNOU application form:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the university in order to obtain the application form.
Step 2: On visiting the website, the candidate will have to click on the ‘Admission Link’.
Step 3: The candidate will have to enter their respective email IDs and password. After registering, the candidate can log in.
Step 4: On logging in, the candidate will have to click on the ‘Apply Now’ link. On doing so, the candidate can then fill the application form.
Step 5: One must cross-check the details entered in the form. After doing so, the candidate is required to upload a jpeg file of their respective passport size photographs and signature.
Step 6: Once the details are filled in, the candidate can proceed to pay the application fee i.e INR 1000. The payment can be made in both online as well as offline mode. For online payment, one can pay using credit/debit card/ Netbanking. For offline payment, students must send a demand draft to the university address.
