IGNOU PG Diploma Maternal and Child Health: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The University Development fee of Rs 200/- is to be paid at the time of admission in addition to the program fee.

IGNOU PGDMCH admission 2024 for the January session has been started from December 15, 2023. The last date to apply is January 31, 2024 (Tentative). IGNOU offers a Post-Graduate Diploma in Maternal and Child Health (PGDMCH) program through open distance learning mode. The duration to complete the courses is 1-3 years. Admission to the program is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. In order to be eligible for admission to the PGDMCH program, candidates need to have an MBBS degree.

• The program is meant for the MBBS  doctors, who have completed their compulsory rotating internship before the beginning of the respective academic session.
• A student should have completed a compulsory internship before January 1st of the respective academic session.

IGNOU PGDMCH Assignments

Assignments constitute continuous evaluation. The marks that you secure in the assignments will be counted in your final result. As mentioned earlier, an assignment of a course carries 30% weightage. You are therefore advised to take your assignment seriously. 

Non Submission of Assignment

The TMA for each semester can be downloaded from the Student Zone of the University website. You have to complete the assignment within the due dates specified in the assignment booklet. You will not be allowed to appear for the term-end examination for any course if you do not submit the assignment in time for that course. If you appear in the term-end examination, without submitting the assignments, the result of the term-end examination is liable to be canceled.
