Online Application:

• Candidates can register themselves for admission to M.Sc, MA and MCA programme through online application process available at the official university website.
• Application fee of Rs. 300/- should also be submitted along with completed applications through the online payment modes such as net banking, credit/ debit card etc.

Offline Application:

• Candidates can also request for application form to be sent by post along with the prospectus by sending Crossed Demand Draft of Rs.300/- along with the self-addressed envelope.
• DD should be drawn in favour of "Jawaharlal Nehru University", payable at New Delhi and the letter should clearly indicate the program of study for which the Application Form is required
• Natives of Nepal can also obtain the prospectus and application form by sending demand draft of amount Rs. 400/- or equivalent in USD
• Duly filled-in applications, in all respects, along with the copies of all the necessary enclosures should reach through registered post/ speed post at the following address:

Enclosures:

1. Two self attested copies of the Matriculation, Higher Secondary Pre-University of Indian School Certificate or Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an equivalent examination certificate, showing the age/date of birth of the candidate
2. A Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
3. Two self attested copies of the statement of marks obtained by the candidate in Senior School or their equivalent examination
4. SC/ST/OBC Certificate, if belonging to SC/ST/OBC category
5. A Medical Certificate for PWD Candidates certifying nature & percentage of disability issued by the competent medical authority
6. Migration Certificate (in original) from the Head of the Institution/ University last attended.

Only those candidates shall be considered for admission to the Ph.D. Program who have – Master's degree or equivalent in Sanskrit or in any allied subject with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.

OR

Obtained two years M.Phil. Degree with at least 55% marks of a recognized University/Institution (with dissertation/seminar/viva) or one year M.Phil. with 55% marks with additional one year research experience of a recognized University/Institution and one publication and 55% marks or equivalent in Master’s degree

Knowledge of Sanskrit is desirable.

OR

A candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme in Sanskrit or in any allied subject should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.

For Ph.D Foreign Nationals:

(i) Tuition Fee:

@ US $2097 per semester for courses in science disciplines;
@ US $1398 per semester for courses in humanities and social sciences;
(ii) Incidental charges: @ US $ 279 per semester will be charged from both the above categories
