NIT Goa B.Tech Mechanical Engineering: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

• Candidate must have passed  10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2.

NIT Goa offers B.Tech program in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. NIT Goa B.Tech program is an 8 semester long full-time program. 

The merit or rank list will be prepared on the basis of 40% preference to marks in class 12th or equivalent examination and 60% preference to JEE Main. The final list will be published only after normalization.

Note: the criteria of 75% marks and the other percentile criteria have been removed in January 2021, given the Covid 19 pandemic situation. 

Selection Process: Admission to B.Tech program will be granted on the basis of JoSAA 2020. 

Admission Process: Candidates selected under JoSAA 2020 will be required to register at the NIT Goa online portal. Aspirants can only register after “FREEZE/ SLIDE” the seat at NIT Goa. 

Documents Required at the Time of Admission

Aspirants are requested to bring original and photocopies of the following documents at the time of physical reporting for admission to NIT Goa:

1. Document Verification-cum-Seat Acceptance Letter, issued from the Reporting Centre.
2. Provisional Seat Allocation letter issued in 7th round. 
3. Class X (High School)Board certificate, as proof of Name and Date of Birth.
4. Mark sheet of the qualifying examination (Class XII).
5. School Leaving / Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended.
6. Photo Identity card issued by Govt. Agency (Preferably AADHAR).
7. OBC-NCL certificate ( In case of OBC-NCL category candidates).
8. Community Certificate (In case of SC/ST candidates). 
9. Disability certificate ( In case of PwD candidates).
10. Income Certificate issued on or after April 1, 2019 (Applicable only if annual income is less than 5 Lakhs). 
11. Physical fitness certificate (issued by a Govt. Medical Officer).
12. Two copies of recent passport size photograph.
13. Migration Certificate if applicable.
14. Downloaded copy of the duly filled NIT Goa Online Admission Form admission form link will live from 15th July 2019.

Admissions Under DASA Scheme

Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign Nationals can get direct admission under the Direct Admission of Students Abroad Scheme (DASA). This scheme is only open for students pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
