MDU Rohtak MCA Eligibility Criteria

For Direct Entry to MCA:

• Candidates must have passed Graduation-exam in any stream science, commerce or Arts and have studied mathematics or statistics as one of the subjects in graduation or at 10+2 level.
• Candidates must have a minimum 45% aggregate in graduation exam.

Or Completed BCA with 45% marks in aggregate.

Or Have given any other exam recognized by MDU as equivalent.

For Lateral Entry to MCA:

• Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology/Computer Science)
  Or
• Any other examination recognized by M.D. University, Rohtak as equivalent thereto having 50% marks (47.50% for SC/ST candidates of Haryana only) in aggregate with Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate level.

It is to be noted that admission for lateral entry is only possible if there is any vacant seat of 1st year and Admissions shall be made by the University on the basis of Academic Merit.

MDU Rohtak MCA Admission Criteria

Admissions to MCA are based on entrance exam followed by a counselling conducted by the university. The final selection will be based on a merit list prepared by the university.

How to Apply for MDU Rohtak MCA? 

• The students need to register themselves with the university through an application form by paying INR 600 online for the general category student and Rs 150 for SC/ST.
• Application form contains personal information along with previous academic records.
• After the release of the list of selected candidates, the students are required to take admission within a particular time frame as released by the university.

• Class 10th marks sheet.
• Marks sheet of 11th and 12th class.
• Migration Certificate.
• Character or Conduct Certificate from previously attended school or institution.
• If there is a gap in studies, then a gap certificate or affidavit for the reason for the gap.

MDU Rohtak MCA Reservation Criteria 

MDU reserves seats for the domicile of Haryana. As there are 60 seats in the course out of which 85% are reserved for the domicile of Haryana. Rest seats are left open to all India candidates. 

Reserved seats for the domicile are further given weightage under different categories. Out of them 30% are reserved for general; 20% for SC; 27% for backward classes; 10% for special backward classes; 10% for Economic backward persons and 3% for physically handicapped persons.
