Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies offers Ph.D. programs under 18 different specializations. The intake capacity varies for different specializations.
In order to get admission in the doctoral programs, candidates must hold a Master's degree with not less than 55% marks in aggregate in the relevant field from a recognized university or a degree approved by Association of Indian Universities.

Key points:
- Applicants with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine / any other professional discipline of at least four year duration after 10+2 or higher duration, with either 70% or more marks in aggregate and a minimum of fifteen years of relevant experience will be considered eligible for admission, on the recommendation of BOS and approval by Academic Council provided that such applicants may, in case considered essential, be required to qualify in the course/s specified by the DRC/BOS.

MRIIRS Reservation Criteria 2023
- Relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility criteria shall be given to the candidates belonging from any of the mentioned categories: Women / SC / ST/ BC/ OBC/ North East States (seven)/ Sports Personnel (with authorized participation at National Level; subject to ratification by the committee constituted for the purpose)/ Son/Daughter of Defence Personnel categories and Foreign Nationals for all the programs being offered at the institute.
- 15% of the total seats in all programs are reserved for the NRIs.
- Two seats are reserved for all programs under Supernumerary Quota for Kashmiri Migrants students of Jammu and Kashmir as per directions of UGC. A relaxation of 10% in minimum eligibility criteria shall be given. Domicile requirement may be waived off. Intake capacity of various programs may be increased by 5% if so required.
