NIILM University Admission 2023, Courses, Fees Structure, Application Process

At undergraduate level, NILM university offers B.Tech programme under a number of specializations to the students who wish to pursue a career in the field of engineering. The duration period for B.Tech is four years.

In order to get admission to the B.Tech courses, candidates need to pass in the qualifying exam i.e. 10+2 with PCM/PCB.

Admission to the B.Tech courses is done on the basis of merit in Joint Entrance Test (JEE main) followed by an Entrance Test by Personal Interview. For JEE registration, candidates need to visit website

The university provides BA.LLB programme with a five years prolonged duration period. Alongside, NILM university provides another degree course The Bachelor of Law (LLB) at the undergraduate level, which is of three years.

For admission to the BA.LLB program, candidates need to pass 10+2 in relevant stream from recognised board and to get admission in the LL.B courses, candidates need to complete graduation in any stream.

Admission for both of the undergraduate level courses is done by an Entrance Test followed by personal interview. The performance of the candidates in the admission test and interview integratedly decide the selection of the candidates.

List of BA.LLB and LLB courses:

NILM university offers various courses in the stream of Science at both UG and PG level with multiple specializations. The B.Sc program holds a duration period of three years whereas the M.Sc program takes two years to complete its duration.

For admission to the B.Sc program, candidates need to pass 10+2 in relevant stream from recognised board and to get admission in the M.Sc courses, candidates need to complete graduation in relevant stream.

Candidates will be selected for admission to the B.Sc and M.Sc courses on the basis of qualifying exam marks, Entrance test and personal counselling.

NIILM university offers a number of courses in the fields of Commerce and Business Administration at both UG and PG level. All these courses are offered with the duration of three years except M.Com which is of a period of two years.

Candidates will be selected for admission to the UG courses like B.Com and BBA courses on the basis of qualifying exam marks, Entrance test and personal counselling.

For admission to the M.Com program, a candidate should be graduate in relevant discipline i.e. B.Com/ BBA. Selection of the candidates is based on merit in the entrance test followed by personal interview.

NILM university also offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) programmes to the aspiring students who want to seek admission in business administration and computer application respectively. The duration period of the MBA programme is two years whereas the MCA programme takes three years to complete its duration.

For admission to the MBA programme, a merit list is prepared based on the performance in All State/ National level scores like CAT/ MAT/ XAT.  Then candidates are selected through an Entrance Test and Personal Interview.

For admission to the MCA programme, candidates should have completed graduation in the relevant discipline. Admission to the MCA programme is given to the willing candidates based on the merit in the pre-qualifying examination (BCA/M.Sc) followed by an Entrance Test and personal interview.

Students who wish for higher studies to research in their concerned subject can avail the course Ph.D offered by the university. Students can opt for full time/part time/off campus as per their choice.

A candidate who has obtained any Master's Degree or equivalent from UGC/AICTE recognized body with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST and Differently abled candidates) in aggregate or equivalent grade.

Selection of candidates for Ph.D. programmes will be based on Entrance Test, Interview and marks obtained in the Qualifying Examinations. Final cutoff marks will be decided by the university before declaration of the results.

1. The Research Scholars fulfilling one of the following conditions will be exempted from Entrance Examination:
   • Those Candidates who have qualified U.G.C/ CSIR (JRF) Examination/ NET/ GATE/Teacher Fellowship holder/ M.Phil degree holder who have already appeared for Entrance Test
   • Those who have passed M.E./M.Tech from statutory university
   • Teachers having 5 years regular (unconditional approval) teaching experience at U.G./P.G. level
   • Research Scholars /Person/Senior Citizens with exceptional abilities who have passed Graduate Degree Examination with 55% of Marks and with 15 years experience after graduation in related field. (subject to discretion of Vice-Chancellor).

Selection of candidates (exempted from entrance test category) is based on their performance in the Interview and marks obtained in the Qualifying Examinations (if any).
