Interested candidates may apply through the official website. Bahra University, Shimla Hills offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering, Management, and Basic Sciences. Bahra University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualification for Ph. D admission shall be a Master’s Degree with 55% marks for general candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST or equivalent grade/CGPA on a 10 point scale in the relevant specialization.

Bahra University Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

The Ph. D Program admission of Bahra University is determined based on criteria by the Academic Council of the University. Bahra University conducts a written test followed by personal interview or group discussion. Candidates clearing any nationalized Ph.D. entrance examination are exempted from appearing in the entrance examination conducted by the institute.

Bahra University Ph.D. Course Details

Syllabus

Bahra University offers Ph. D degree with six specializations in three Categories: Engineering, Management, and Basic Sciences.

The program has eight semesters. The first two semesters focus on the core subject and few elective subjects. While the last four semesters would predominantly focus on the research interests/areas and thesis completion.

Attendance requirement:

A student must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in each course.

Mid-Term Test:

The university will conduct two MTT in a semester as per the norms of the university.

Continuous Evaluation:

The continuous evaluation contains the MTT result, tutorials, lab tests, assignments, several class tests/quizzes, attendance, etc.

End-Term Test:

After completing the course work successfully, the students must appear for the semester examination.

The examination dates will be announced based on the Academic calendar at least before two to three weeks.

Pass-Out Eligibility:

A student will be declared as a graduate when he/she satisfies the following conditions-

1. Has cleared all the courses.
2. Has a minimum CGPA of 5.5
3. Has not taken extra time to complete a course.
4. Complete the thesis with all the requirements.

Graduation Certificate Classifications:

The classification will be made based on CGPA and mentioned in the certificate of a particular student.
