Jaypee University of Information & Technology Solan Admission 2024: Eligibility, Cutoff, Selection Criteria, Application Process

Jaypee University of Information & Technology offers B.Tech in 7 specializations. Candidates must have completed their 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. For B.Tech Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, candidates must have Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Admission to the B.Tech course in JUIT Solan is based on merit in the entrance examinations or merit in the qualifying examination. Entrance-based admission to B.Tech depends on the All India Rank of the candidates in JEE Main.

Merit-based admission depends on the candidates’ performance in their qualifying examination. For merit-based admission, the university will conduct a counselling in the month of July. Candidates shall be informed prior and they will be allowed choice of maximum three programs.

• For entrance based admission, candidates must clear JEE Main.
• For Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, 50% seats are allotted through JEE Main and the remaining 50% through merit in the qualifying examination.
• 10% seats in JUIT Solan are reserved for candidates who have qualified their 10+2 examination from Himachal Pradesh.

JUIT Solan offers B.Sc in Mathematics and Computing. Candidates should have completed 10+2 from a recognized board to be eligible for admission.

Admission to the B.Sc program is based on the entrance test CUET/Merit-Based.

JUIT Solan offers M.Tech  in 7 specializations. The basic eligibility criterion for admission is B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc in the relevant field with an aggregate of 60% or equivalent CGPA.

For admission to the M.Tech program, candidates must either appear for GATE or clear the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) by JUIT. GATE qualified candidates can apply directly for admission while the non-GATE candidates should clear the PGET conducted by the university.

Candidates can apply for the exam on the university website and the test will be organized on June 29.

JUIT Solan offers M.Sc in 2 Specializations. Candidates should have completed a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline to be eligible for admission.

Admission to the M.Sc program is Merit-Based.

JUIT Solan offers Ph.D. in 8 specializations. Candidates should have completed their Master’s degree in the relevant field to be eligible for admission.

Admission to the Ph.D. program is based on the entrance test conducted by the university. The Ph.D. entrance exam will be conducted by the university in the month of June. Candidates can find the syllabus as well as other details pertaining to the exam on the university website.

• Candidates with NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR (JRF) may be exempted from the entrance test if they submit the proof of the same.
