Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Communication and Signal Processing) From NIT Srinagar, Srinagar

A candidate to be eligible for the MTech program:

• Must have a valid GATE score for that respective year.
• In qualifying degree, the candidates should have passed and secured at least a 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in the case of SC/ST/PwD candidates. The above-mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be awarded by a recognized University/Institute.
• Only the primary mode of evaluation (CGPA or percentage) as mentioned in the qualifying degree certificate/mark sheet shall be considered while verifying eligibility. In case both CGPA and percentage are mentioned, then only CGPA would be considered.
• Conversion from CGPA to percentage or vice versa given by an individual Institute/university will not be allowed.
• If CGPA is on a different scale than the 10-point scale, then it would be linearly mapped to a 10-point scale.

Entrance test – GATE

NIT Srinagar offers M.Tech. and M.Sc. degree at the PG level. M.Tech. is offered under eight specializations such as-

The M.Sc. course is offered in one specialization- Physics for a duration of 2 Years.

NIT Srinagar M.Tech. and M.Sc. Eligibility

M.Tech. - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology/AMIE/MCA in appropriate discipline or a Master's Degree in appropriate discipline with CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 60% marks in open / OBC candidate in Qualifying degree. (6.0 or 55% for SC/ST)

M.Sc. - Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks with Physics as main and Mathematics as a subsidiary subject or with Physics and Mathematics among the main subjects.

NIT Srinagar M.Tech. and M.Sc. Selection Criteria

M.Tech. 

Admission to the M.Tech. program will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the GATE followed by CCMT. The following documents must be submitted at the time of admission-

• Provisional Admission Letter (PAL)
• Original Mark Sheet / Grade card of all semesters/years and Certificates of Qualifying
• Degree
• Original Migration certificate of last Institute/University last attended
• Original Conduct Certificate from the Institute/University last attended
• Original Transfer certificate from the Institute/University last attended
• An original Course completion certificate from the University/Institute last attended, in
• case result is awaited
• Category certificate
• Valid Gate Score Card
• Printed receipt of online payment of balance fee.
• The affidavit, if gap period duly attested by 1st class Magistrate.
• Affidavit for anti-ragging
• An affidavit from 1st class Magistrate in case any of the requisite documents is pending.
• One set of self-attested photocopy of all the original documents
• Three passport size color photographs

M.Sc. 

Admission will be granted on the basis of IIT JAM.
