ICFAI University Jharkhand Admission 2024: Courses, Fees, Eligibility, Selection Process

ICFAI University offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech (Lateral Entry) in various specializations to the candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. The duration period is four-year and three-year respectively.

In order to seek admission B.Tech, candidates must have studied and passed 10+2 level or equivalent in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects with minimum 45% marks. Students who have passed Diploma Engineering in relevant discipline with a minimum of 45% marks can only apply for B.Tech (Lateral).

The selection of applicants for all courses is made through application and interview. While evaluating applicants for admission, due weightage is given to academic distinction, awards in sports/cultural events, debates, quizzes, and other extra co-curricular activities. Original certificates and Domicile certificate should be produced for verification at the time of payment of the first-semester fee. The admission decision will be communicated after the interview process.

Key Note: B.Tech candidate should fulfill the minimum age requirements as prescribed by the respective board through which the applicant has appeared for the qualification exams.  

At the undergraduate level, ICFAI University Jharkhand offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), BA and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). The duration period for each of the courses is three-year.

Aside from the above-mentioned courses, the institute also offers a BCA-MCA Integrated Program for a duration of 5 Years.

Eligibility for BA, BCA and BBA is 10+2 or equivalent with aggregate 40% marks. For B.Com, Pass in 10+2 with Commerce field and minimum 40% marks are eligible for admission.

Admission to all the UG courses is done through screening of application and interview conducted by the university. Generally, the interview process starts from the month of July every year. Final 10+2/ Intermediate candidates can also apply.

The university offers BBA-LLB (Hons). The eligibility criteria are that candidates must pass in 10+2 or equivalent with 45% and aggregate in any discipline (best of the 5 subjects including English). Final year 10+2 students awaiting results may also apply. The selection process for BBA-LLB (Hons) in CLAT/LSAT will be given weightage. 

The eligibility criteria for LLB is that candidate must pass in graduation or equivalent with 45% and above aggregate year students awaiting results may also apply. Final year students who are waiting for the result may also apply. The selection criteria 

The University offers an MBA for WP and the eligibility criteria is that candidates must have graduation in any discipline with 45% and above aggregate marks with a minimum of two years of work experience. The selection process for MBA for WP is the screening of applications followed by personal interviews. 

MBA Fee Structure

At the Postgraduate level, the University offers MCA and MCA Lateral admission to the candidates. The duration for MCA is three-year and MCA Lateral is two-years.

Minimum Eligibility for MCA is Graduation (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) in any discipline, with a minimum of 40% marks. While MCA Lateral, pass in BCA or B.Sc. (IT/CS) with Mathematics as a subject 10+2 level or graduation level with a minimum of 40% marks. Admission in the above-mentioned courses is strictly based on the screening of applications and personal interviews. While evaluations, due weightage is given to candidate’s distinction, extra co-curricular activities, sports or cultural events, debates, quizzes, etc.

Candidate must produce original certificates and domicile certificates at the time of payment of fees. Application forms can be filled online, can be downloaded and can be sent to the admission office.

The university also offers a Ph.D. program to the research aspirants in the field of Management. The minimum duration period of the Ph.D. program is three-year, while the maximum is six-year. A minimum of three-year of work experience is also required for eligibility criteria.

Candidates with Master’s degree or professional degree declared equivalent to master’s degree by relevant statutory bodies in management or allied subjects (e.g. Economics, Commerce, Public Administration etc.) with at least 55% marks in aggregate or M. Phil Degree (in the concerned or an allied subject in which the student plans to pursue Ph.D. Program) with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade are eligible for the research program.

The selection of applicants into the Ph.D. program is made through Application, Research Aptitude Test and Personal Interview.
