Jharkhand Rai University has been established under Jharkhand Rai University Act, 2012 by Jharkhand State Legislature. It imparts higher education through its Departments of Study and Research.

The university offers a wide number of UG, PG and Ph.D. courses under the streams of Science, Arts, Commerce, Management, Business Administration, Information Technology.

Admission to all the UG and PG courses at JRU is based on merit of the last qualifying exam. For Ph.D courses, admission is done on the basis of merit as well as GATE/ NET/ SLET/ M.Phil/ experience in the relevant field followed by an interview conducted by the University.

For candidates belonging to SC/ST community a relaxation of 5% marks shall be given in the minimum eligibility marks.

The institute offers admission to the B.Sc course and M.Sc course. The focus of the course is Agriculture. Higher Secondary Examination can apply for admission.

Jharkhand Rai University invites application for admission to the faculty of Pharmacy into 2 courses B.Pharma and D.Pharma. The duration of B.Pharma and BPT is 4 years whereas D.Pharma is of 2 years.

BBA and MBA course is offered to the students interested in Commerce and Management programme. 10+2 qualified students will be eligibile for admission to the UG course i.e, BBA and BBA Logistics.

Any Graduation Degree holders can apply for MBA admission.

The institute offers admission to the BCA programme which is an undergraduate course and admission to the course will be based on the marks secured in the final examination. At PG level, the institute offers admission to MCA course.

JRU Application Process 2023

Candidates need to buy a prospectus containing admission form, from the admission office Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi at a fee of Rs 500/-

The duly filled in application form in black/blue ink in Capital Letters without overwriting along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 550/- drawn in favor of ‘Jharkhand Rai University’ payable at Ranchi should be sent to the admission office.
Following documents as prescribed below are required to be submitted by the applicant.
- Passport size photographs – 4 in numbers
- Mark sheet of 10th/12th/Graduation (As per course)
- Date of Birth Certificate
- Character Certificate
- Permanent Address Proof
- Score Card of National/State Level Entrance Examination
For admission to the Ph.D. courses, duly filled in applications shall be submitted along with Demand Draft amounting Rs 1000/- drawn in favour of “Jharkhand Rai University”, Payable at Ranchi and self attested copies of required documents to The Research Department, Jharkhand Rai University, Kamre, Ratu Road, Ranchi-835222 (only by Speed Post).
