About SSUS
Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS) is considered amongst the best Sanskrit Universities in India. It thrives to impart good knowledge in Sanskrit, other Indian as well as Foreign Languages, Fine Arts, and Social Sciences to the students. The university came into being in the year 1994 in Kalady, Kerala. It has 8 regional campuses in Kerala, most of which are located in rural areas. The University is recognised by UGC and accredited with an A Grade by NAAC.
It provides various undergraduate and postgraduate courses- BA, MA, MSW, BFA, MFA etc. The admissions to UG courses are merit-based and for PG courses, they are entrance-based. The application forms are available online on the official website of the University.

SSUS Admission 2024
The admission for UG courses is based on the merit list which is obtained on the basis of the marks scored in class 12th. However, for PG courses the admission is based on the Common Entrance Exam followed by an interview conducted by the University.
How to apply?

- Click on Apply here and register yourself by filling part-1 form.
- Then, login using credentials and fill part-2 form.
- After filling the form, thoroughly check the details and upload necessary documents.
- Submit the form and pay the application fees in part two of the application form for successful registration.

SSUS Scholarships
The college offers scholarships to meritorious students as well as to the students who belong to the economically weaker section. The scholarships offered are mentioned below:
- Sree Sankara Scholarship
The University provides scholarship to every student who has been enrolled in a Sanskrit core course on the basis of the attendance. The amount offered here as scholarships is INR 500 per month during the entire period of the course.
- Merit Scholarship
Merit scholarship is offered to students based on their attendance and merit. The selection criterion is decided by the university. The students must submit the application along with the qualifying certificates to the campus director or the head of the department within 15 days from the date of admission.
- SC/ST/OEC and other financially backward candidates are also exempted from the payment of tuition fee, exam fees, subjected to the grant of concession by the Government of Kerala.

SSUS Facilities
The University provides numerous facilities to its students and faculty members. Some of these are listed below:
- Hostel- The university provides a limited hostel facility on the main campus with a separate hostel for boys and girls. A hostel facility for only girls is also provided at Regional Campus, Payyanur.
- Career Guidance Cell- The University has a career guidance cell which provides counselling to all students.
- Other Facilities- The college also has NCC, NSS, Anti- ragging cell, Equal Opportunity cell etc.
